Two business associates for dinner. Waited 20 minutes for a drinks order to be taken and then they got the order wrong. Waited another 30 minutes for a meal order to be taken. Staff were wandering around with no purpose or direction and service guests seemed to be at the bottom of the priority list. Food quality was poor and... More

Team is very friendly, and quality of the food is good for reasonable prices compared to the nice place on the river side.

What a farce! We ordered two teas and 2 scoops of ice cream. Our friends sitting near us ordered crepe, coffee, other friends ordered beer. Cafe au lait and ice cream......not a tricky order. However an hour later we were still waiting!!! The tea was tepid water, half a cup! The breakfast tea was earl grey and we then waited... More

Popped in for lunch and we both had the 'menu du jour' for only 16€ and it was very good. As with most of these, you need to have all three courses as the portions aren't big but to be fair we were both full at the end. The setting is perfect, on the river.

My family and I had a very nice leisurely dinner at Makila Kafe. The food was very good and the atmosphere was beautiful. The wait staff was very nice and accommodating. It is also worth noting that the chairs in the outdoor restaurant were so very comfortable and increased the enjoyment of our dining experience.

As a teenager working for Keevil & Keevil wholesalers at Smithfield Market in London, I used to deliver to top restaurants and saw behind the scenes from palaces to horror stories ... the Makila Kafé could be a model worldwide for the delivery, storage, preparation, cooking and service of food in a restaurant (I have to admit the owner showed... I do not do reviews of restaurants as it is useless as tastes differ ... Unless there is something extraordinary going on ... The place is a café. Offers café food at astronomic prices at a mediocre quality and tiny portions. Please stay away! Bordeaux has so many good restaurants ( we ended up at this place because the kids... More

It's well worth the extra walk to Hangar 17 to enjoy the wonderful taste of the Pays Basque. The "Makila Kafe" is a lovely Bodega Restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating with a fabulous view of the Chaban-Delmas Bridge over La Garonne. You can see Cruise ships float past under the raised bridge... and in the evening the eliminated blue... More

On a hot June day (21-June-2016) stopped here for a glass of juice. Ordered Orange Pressee but tasted like mixture of several liquids other fruits perhaps left overs from other customers. Very small glasses full of ice more than juice but very expensive 7.00EU served by a rude short female.

Warm White Wine, a questionable size and quality Entrecote and a green salad, which was indeed green, but nothing more.... location is perfect and the atmosphere was fine until they lit the cold white lights...
