My wife (we're not married but have been together a lifetime) doesn't eat fish. She doesn't like it, and "wouldn't like it", even though she hasn't tried it. I love seafood. That's what I'm up against. My advice is don't go here if anyone in the company doesn't like seafood. There is no viable alternative. I had oysters, crab and... More

This place is really good. The food is just excellent and the service as well. It doesn't look like a big deal, but you won't be sorry!

We always book ahead but didn't plan on eating out this night and just stopped in this place that was open to the street. Super casual and inexpensive. Not tremendously comfortable, but fine. Simple but good.

Here you have fresh fish but they have no idea how to cook it. When we were offered half grilled, luke warm fish with soggy and burned french fries we turned them back. They arrived in another five minutes, the fish was edible but the fries were still soggy and burned further, completely dark brown. The service is very good... More

This restaurant has a lovely menu with great food. Very simple and tasty. Our server was a very friendly guy who was able to speak English. The only problem was the furniture, the table was small and our chairs were uncomfortable which was a shame.

Having read reviews we decided to book, we felt silly at first as we were the only ones in when we arrived (still working on English meal times so we were early!!) though not long after sitting down the place started to fill. Very relaxed setting and friendly staff that helped my rather limited french with their little english!! We... More

You like fresh seafood? Then this is the place for you. There's a variety of fresh fish and shellfish dishes. They also do an 'all you can eat' buffet for €24, which I didn't try but looked very inviting. There's a decent wine list too. It was a bank holiday, we didn't book but managed to get a table. But... Having been working by myself in Bordeaux for a week, I have relished the warm smiley service which made me feel at home and less lonely, having been by myself all week. Down to earth, rustic but well accomplished food. Will definitely be coming back. Loved the decor too!

This place is great if you have beer money and champagne tastes. With an all you can eat seafood menu for 22, I did not hesitate to get my fill of their wonderfully fresh oysters. But, I can't give them top marks because their relaxed atmosphere meant that sometimes the wait was long between top ups.

Thank you very much for your comment ! Nevertheless, you've done a mistake. The restaurant you've gone is LA GUINGUETTE A FRUITS DE MER, created by the same owners (Le rince-doigts) If you want to paste your message, you can go on: http://www.tripadvisor.fr/Restaurant_Review-g187079-d3680637-Reviews-Le_Rince_Doigts_Guinguette_a_Fruits_de_Mer-Bordeaux_Gironde_Aquitaine.html In every case, thank you and see you soon ;-) More
