Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I added this coffee shop on my black list - the worst coffee I ever tried in a specialized coffee shop. I couldn’t deink it…

We went to Black List for breakfast on a Sunday and asked for two hot drinks and one set of pancakes to share. The drinks took 20 minutes to arrive and the pancakes a record 45 minutes. On top of the delay, the place is...quite small and both customers and the staff were constantly bumping into each other. The tables are really close to each other, which made the wait even more uncomfortable. The food and drinks were good, but I will definitely not return.More

Visited with a friend yesterday for breakfast. Really nice coffee and food. I had scrambled eggs and sourdough with bacon extra. Lovely food and a a couple of outdoor seats to watch the world go by.

I tried the brunch menu and was a complete selection of pancakes, fruit, yoghurt, juices, toast, avocado and delicious coffee. We will repeat whenever we can. No doubt.

Food is good but service needs definitely an improvement. I didn’t understand if I had to seat before ordering or ordering before sitting. I didn’t understand if I was going to be served at the table or if I had to take my order from...the bar.More

This was listed as one of the best places for breakfast in Bordeaux on a budget. It wasn't bad but was certainly quite expensive. Coffee and avocado bagels were good but not remarkable, the cafe itself was far too small and cramped and there were...several flies buzzing around in the open kitchen. I can see the alternative/different vibe they're going for but they didn't quite make it.More

We were searching for a good place where to have breakfast or brunch and we concluded via TripAdvisor that the best place acording to the price and the pictures was this caffe. But the reality was other. It was quite expensive considering the dishes and...the ingredients used. Especially disapointing was a dish called "karaage". If one knows a little about Japanese food, will know that "karaage" is fried (and delicious) chicken. But what I got was a cold, grilled chicken with cold noodles and ill-cooked vegetables. Besides this, the matcha tea was good, as well as the hot chocolate and some tostes with avocado that one can prepare at home with no difficulties.More

Enjoyed the Australian style coffee. Shop is busy all the time but they do their best to accommodate you. This restaurant is frequented by many locals not just foreigners and Australians. I appreciated the effort they went to to reproduce a coffee from Australia. Most...enjoyable experience and the staff were lovely.More

This place is ridiculously crowded on the inside and very hot during summer. It has the basic menu of drinks from Oven Roasters which is very good, but that depends on the Barista's skills, correct? While it might be good to eat with family during...colder months, summer just is a no go.More

We popped in for breakfast having almost stopped at a rather unappealing chain around the corner. The couple that run this place are lovely, and very welcoming in what is a cute little cafe. The food is lovingly prepared and expertly cooked and delicious, despite...being unknown combinations to me i.e. poached eggs with passion fruit. The owner(?) was very friendly, even showing one of the patrons children how to make drinks to keep them entertained.More

A very quaint little brunch place. Open plan kitchen and coffee bar. Huge portion for the avocado on toast options. Perfectly seasoned and very tasty! Very small shop so not for the people afraid of their neighbours!

Right next to Cathedral St Andre, it’s a small place where the kitchen service is right in front of you. Breakfast was delicious, and the juices were excellent. Just not very comfortable to sit on the wood very squished tables and chairs!

This became my go to coffee place in Bordeaux. They have good coffee, really fast wifi, and they were willing to make some food modifications to the menu so that I could eat. Good Avocado. The chef clearly enjoyed her work, was friendly and all...the staff seem to speak some english. Recommended!More

We discovered this small cafe opposite the tram stop on line A near Hotel de Ville and the Cathédrale. All the food is prepared on site and we had a different sweet treat each day with our delicious coffee. The chef who baked all the...pastries and cakes in the morning was preparing a different lunch menu each day. With only limited time in Bordeaux we were unable to sample the great smelling lunch. The chef was well organised and keep a very clean small kitchen. It was amazing her skill. There was a separate barista who served the few tables and did take away. The staff was friendly and helpful.More
