Having read the Lonely Planet review that this restaurant served excellent seafood cooked by a former Michelin-starred chef, we had very high hopes, which were soon dashed by a limited and dull menu accompanied by dreadful service. Perhaps we were unlucky that a film crew...happened to be in that night and got most of the staff attention, however, after waiting over an hour one of our party was served partially raw chicken and then informed that was how they serve it. The Medoc oysters were good but any reasonable chef can grill seafood and serve it with mashed potato and veg (the grilled prawns were served with lemon only). After sending the chicken back we didn’t hang around for dessert.More

We were 3 mature rugby World Cup supporters on our stay in Bordeaux. We stepped in late on our first night for dinner and were lucky to get a table. The food was delicious. The staff were friendly, waiting times were moderate, but acceptable as...everything was freshly made. The waitress recommended the local wine and the quality was superb. We returned the second day (again for dinner) and we were not disappointment as the food was again delicious. We clearly recommend this establishment.More

We had a reservation for 9pm on a Saturday. This is a popular local restaurant with a high noise level. We ordered a couple of appetizers-their razor clams which were very good-and grilled octopus. My husband ordered a fish. I wasn’t that hungry so ordered...oysters and cold shrimp. Not sure if the waiter couldn’t hear us but we were served all our food at once minus the octopus. Needless to say we weren’t happy about this but had no choice to eat everything at once on the smallish table. This was the only time on our 9 day trip in France that we felt slighted.More

We stepped in occasionally the first day (for dinner) and the we returned the second day (for lunch). We clearly recommend the place. Especially the fried sardines and the fish-tartar are delicious. The staff is friendly, waiting times are moderate, but acceptable. The waitress recommended...the first day a local White Whine Le Demoiselle de Siglas from Chateau Sigalas Rabaud. We were extremely surprised to learn from the label, that this was an 2015-vintage. But the quality was superb. Summary: Clear recommendationMore

This specialises in Seafood. By no means a fancy restaurant, Simple, basic, no frills cuisine. However, the freshness and quality is outstanding. I started with with the Tartare of Sea Bass. Simple and fresh, and delicious. This was followed by a Diver Sole. They do...not fillet it for you, which was ok for me, but boy was it a quality piece of fish. The sole had a nice touch as not only came with a boiled potato, a mini cabbage, but it came with looked like a little quiche like cake. Crikey, this was cake and prawn accompaniment, which elevated the dish. My fellow diner had the smoked salmon and mini platter, all very good. Glad this place was recommended to me.More

I asked a local where I could try local oysters and he recommended this restaurant. I arrived just as they opened for lunch so was able to get a table easily outside. The service was absolutely fantastic! Even after I knocked over and broke my...wine glass full of wine. I ordered oysters, langoustines and razor clams. All were fresh and delicious. I couldn’t be happier with my choiceMore

We were recommended this venue by a food and wine guide we had done a tour with and were very happy with his recommendation. We had lunch there and started with oysters that were so fresh and tasted delicious . We then both shared entrees...of shrimps and mussels along with a bottle of Rose . The staff were very friendly and helpful and sitting outside this venue enjoying good seafood and wine was a time to remember . We recommend this restaurant for others to try if you are in Bordeaux and looking for a good value for money seafood restaurant .More

We visited as it has a reputation for being one of the best seafood restaurants in Bordeaux. Little else on the menu bar fresh, local and seasonal seafood. We visited twice once with friends (Janis & Jim) and once on our own, we had both...lunch and dinner. It was fabulous and a true treat for the tastebuds. Offers fresh oysters, tapas, shellfish and seafood a la plancha (mussels, octopus, squid, razor clams) all straight from the Arcachon fish market. Everything we had - crab, smoked salmon, lemon sole, sardines, mussels and hake - was tremendous and highly recommended. I’m told their desserts are also superb but I never made it that far. The wine list covers all tastes but try not to mix up the American cocktail when asking for a Cafe Americano. Well worth two visits.More
