On a rainy day in Biarritz, my husband and I stopped to have lunch. It was amazing. We had fresh oysters, Brochette de St Jacques Fraiches Risotto aux Cepes. The best scallop dish I have ever had. The food here is fresh and the flavours are amazing. We finished with Beret Basque de Chez Paries and, seriously, I don't think... More

We stumbled across this restaurant by accident and boy are we glad we did. It was stand out of our 4 day stay in Biarritz. The food was amazing and the service was impeccable. We shared the foie, the prawn Asian inspired noodles and the margret. Not only did they allow us to share they plated each dish on separate... More

All the surrounding trendier places were full, so we ended up here and were very pleasantly surprised. Cote de boeuf for two, medium rare, with proper home-made fries, green salad and a carafe of bordeaux. Dessert was a tiramisu. All excellent, nicely served and very reasonable.

Called in here a few times over the years - most recently yesterday! Great place to stop, have a coffee or a beer and watch the day go by. The tables on the street offer the perfect vantage point to see busy Biarritz residents and visitors passing by. Beers normally come with a little plate of peanuts. Not cheap -... More

Ate there two nights ago. Was tired eating le canard (foolish me), wanted a lighter meal. Had the shrimp with noodles. Tasty at the time. But haven't felt good in two days. Service was good, and my husband and son shared the boeuf, they were fine. But it made for a long plane ride home today.

Checked out a few restaurants and returned to this one as it had a good menu. Arrived early at 7.30 pm and only one other table was taken. Proprietor was excellent even though his English was limiteD but he made us feel very welcome and explained the menu well. Food was very good and by the time we left the... More

We stumbled across this bistrot on our first day in Biarritz. We were determined to have a relaxed and enjoyable lunch and we were not disappointed. The choice of fish special dishes was cooked to perfection and the cafe gourmand was an excellent dessert. Staff were friendly and responsive and the whole excellent value for money.

Revisited here 16th September 2014. They have a new (lady) chef since the last time we were here. I had fried squid to start with which was served, piping hot, in the little frying pan it was cooked in. It was done with some garlic, onion and chorizo, and it was absolutely delicious!! For a main I had a tuna... More

I visited this restaurant and really did not have a good experience. Firstly, all of the staff who worked there were rude and impatient. None of our food came out at the same time - our main courses were approx 15 minutes apart. Also we pointed out a specific bottle of wine on the menu to order and were then... More

The service at this establishment is terrible. Everything that is bad about French wait staff is epitomised in this restaurant. If you want an enjoyable meal then I suggest you try somewhere (anywhere) else nearby. We had lunch while on holiday with our children and the waitresses were unhelpful when they weren't ignoring us. The food is average (not bad... More
