Take time to find this great Italian restaurant which is tucked away down an alley. The food is delicious, the surroundings very comfortable, the service excellent. Overall I'd say it's the best food we found in Pau.

Hidden away in an alley, but obviously known to the well informed, the menu du midi proved to be a great meal, tasty, well presented and fantastic value at 15€, or 16€ with a glass of wine! . Two choices for each course ensuring that there's something to please everyone.

Nice restaurant for a romantic dinner. Good food, excellent service and an enjoyable atmosphere. Hard to find, but worth it.

I returned for the third time to restaurant Gusto; my last visit was in February 2014. I'm pleased to be able to report that everything is still just as good - if not better - than it was on the previous two visits. The menu is essentially the same as it was previously, apart from the blackboard specials of course.... More

A return visit, this time with some guests. Le Gusto is still very much as I found it a year ago; great food, good, casual and relaxed service, and a short but nice selection of wines. All three of us were happy with our meals, to the extent that we went the whole way and had three courses each (something... More

Visited Gusto on a Saturday night. As other reviewers said it is a bit hard to find, but worth doing so. We had excellent starters and main courses. The atmosphere was very good and service attentive.

We were Tuesday, 23 april there. This small little restaurant is not easy to find, because from the Upcenter from Pau, you have to go down by very small stairs. We arrived at 7.15, but is open from eight o'clock. So we made a reservation for 8 und walked around in the citycentre from Pau. I loved this small restaurant... More

A lovely little restaurant hidden in the alleys of Pau, this place is definitely worth looking for. A lunch menu (3 course) for €14 euros with 2 great choices per course. For me the bacon tarte to start, mackerel with pasta and a creamy tomato sauce as main and an almond and chocolate pudding for dessert. All courses were well... More

I found this place during a wander around the Hédas area of Pau. It's tucked away halfway up a flight of stairs from rue du Hédas to the upper level of the old town. I decided to go back one evening to try, and am glad I did. It doesn't open until 20:00, a bit later than most restaurants in... More

We went with some local friends, they suggested this restaurant. Mid week it was fairly busy and noisy. Food is very good, creative Italian, very large portions, too large. Wine selection is good. The service is friendly but very amateurish. Do not expect too much assistance to select your food or the wine you are on your own. Overall it... More
