Trip advisor recommendation made us hunt out this restaurant, which is in a quiet street, yet only 5 minutes walk away from a big square inside the city walls which was absolutely mobbed, and full of touristy restaurants. This little gem was...empty! We were the only people there. And what great choice it turned out to be. Wonderful food, excellent... More

We went to this restaurant on the basis of reviews that set it apart from the multitude of creperies and tourist restaurants in St. Malo, and we were so glad that we did! The menu is short but unique -- ala carte -- no menu combinations of entree + plat or plat+dessert here. Preparation and service are outstanding. Our grandson... More

We visited this restaurant on Friday night on the back of TripAdvisor reviews and are glad that we did. It is an intimate little bistro tucked away from the main square and feels more like someone's house than a restaurant. The owner was very friendly and chatted away in English. A perfect host. We were the first guests at 7pm... More

Noix de Saint Jacques flambéed in malt whiskey. Sorry, getting ahead of myself, but this dish was as good as it gets at this very Bretagne restaurant that I would not have found were it not for its TripAdvisor reviews. Delightfully non-touristy restaurant in the walled city of St Malo. There's little not to like. This restaurant was part of... More

Intimate little bistro away from the hurly burly of Place Chateaubriant serving superb food and excellent wine. Well deserving of its top ranking on Tripadvisor. Le Patron is friendly, pleasant and welcoming. We both had duck with a blackberry jus, the duck was cooked a perfect pink. The chocolate fondant desserts were incredible. Popular with locals which is always a good indication... More

The reviews lead us here. Was expecting good things but we're let down. Our lasagne starter was Luke warm, our duck was overcooked and the fish had no taste. The desserts managed to save it, they were great. Could still be better than others is saint malo, but nothing special.

This little tucked away place is a must! My husband & I enjoyed an excellent last meal here in St Malo. The menu offers a small selection of entrées, mains & desserts but the meals that came were plentiful and full of flavour. I found it to be excellent value for money. The owner (I can only assume) was friendly... More

On basis of Tripadvisor recommendation booked and dined here. Only 22 covers. Quirky owner. Great food great price simple menu but stunning flavours and combinations. Restaurant full by 8pm and about 20 walk ins turned away. Highly recommended and we have booked to dine again end of September.

The restaurant offers inventive dishes for a fair price. I was especially astonished at my starter, which consisted of three tiny buckwheat crepes - a raw oyster was hidden in each one, and they were served with a tasty cream sauce with dill. Something new and unexpected. The other dishes were very good, too, but I had to point this... More
