Yes, there are trendier places. But, if you want a real French cafe experience, stop here. The server understands the food. The wine is a value. One our first choices in Dijon. Local families eat here.

Expensive and really bad quality of the food. Started with a glas of wine for 5 Euro and it was hardly filled with 0,1L. The menu was a dried piece of chicken and chips(french fries), all I don't know how many times reheated. The french fries where so dark brown, at least the put them 3 times in oil to... More

We had a 'let's not use Trip Advisor or other similar internet services to find a place to find a place to eat' night and walked around for a bit before finding this restaurant. We guessed this place would be a lot higher up the rankings than it actually is. (I wonder how many TA reviews are biased by the... More

Very cute place, you feel very welcome as soon as you push the door. The menu isn't too expensive and the waitress is a doll. We didn't have to wait between each of ours dishes and the gratin dauphinois was amazing! I really liked it :)

We thought we'd found a charming restaurant. Tucked down a narrow alley way with interesting decoration and the menu looked promising. Sadly it didn't deliver on the food or service front. As one if the eRlier reviews says - the bread and the wine were good . We should have looked at what the locals had written !!

Staying in Dijon for 1 night on the way back to UK from Italy, our hotel suggested this small restaurant. Don't be put off by the rather shabby exterior - it is at the end of a small passage next to a basic "pub", so very easy to miss. Inside, the place is quite small but rather chic, with only... More

This restaurant is tucked down a little side alley and you can sit inside, outside under a cover or outside in the alley beside a quiet working man's cafe. Very efficient, courteous, waitress/maitre d. Lovely layered starter in a jar - ricotta and mint, vegetables, guacamole and sorrento ham. Good food and a pleasant evening.

We stopped off at this little restaurant in an alley in Dijon. Our first meal in France - it did not disappoint. My husband had escargot which were delicious in typical butter, garlic and herbs. I enjoyed a salad with croustillant de chevre - these morsels of cheese, lardon, figs (I think), wrapped in a light pastry - yum. Have... More

Tried this restaurant even though some of the reviews weren't good.I'm so glad we did! It was excellent, atmosphere in the evening fabulous, service friendly(very helpful waiters who explained things we didn't understand on the menu) I had a veal cutlet with epoisses sauce and my husband lamb cutlets-both were very tasty and the wine didn't break the bank!We will return.

Loved this restaurant with its quirky interior, delicious food and great wine list. We ate there just before they closed at lunchtime so it was quiet and therefore difficult to rate the atmosphere but I'm sure it would be great in the evening. Service was very good and I loved being able to see into the kitchen. The frites were... More
