Wondering through Dijon looking for Lunch and noticed this little restaurant on a side street was the busiest. Sticking to our 'locals know best' model, we were pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere & price. Upon ordering, our entree arrived without fuss. My steak was cooked to perfection and was well seasoned. The creme caramel for dessert was huge, syrupy &... More

After a long useless walk to a place recommended by LP that was closed, and being turned away from another--complet-- we stopped in here. We could hear the music from the other nearby place but we weren't overwhelmed by it. The food was nice Bourgogne, the beef Bourgogne and the coq au vin were solid. The service was classic and... We thought this restaurant looked lovely from the outside and empty. It seems that people in the know book a table and we were allocated a table between the entrance and the kitchen. We were so uncomfortable on this little table we were given that it made the food totally unmemorable. The food was not good enough to overcome the... More

The escargot I'd expected was mediocre. The coq au vin was not simmered sufficiently. The chicken baked at that day was only covered with the sauce. I was very disappointed at it. The coq au vin I make is much better.

Like other reviewers we couldn't get into Le Bouchon du Palais and were recommended this little restaurant which was our second choice anyway. The Bourgogne menu was a good choice - we opted for the snails (six served in the shell with a garlic and parsley oil which must be sopped up with bread), the coq au vin with boiled... More

Couldn't get into Le Bouchon du Palais but he recommended we try this. The Beef Bourguignon and Coq au Vin were both good. Limited menu, no English and a new waitress, but in the end, she was cute and fun and made us smile. Good evening.

We enjoyed the Beef Bourguignon and Coq au vin. The staff spoke very little English but there is English menu. The restaurant was recommended by a local. Good place for local food and good value.

After a brief stroll around Dijon centre , we came across this little bistrot up a side street . The menu is limited which is generally a good thing and there is a strong local emphasis . The duck and chèvre starter is lovely but the snails less good . However the veal kidneys and duck breast mains were excellent... More

Very traditional little restaurant, waiters spoke very little English, but excellent food and wine. We had a lovely meal. Coq au vin without a doubt the best I've ever had. Also tried the eggs poached in red wine - never had that before and I'm glad I had the opportunity to try it.
