We went here based on the recommendation of the owner of the apartment we are renting. We invited some French and Swiss friends. It was a true pleasure for all! The food was beautifully presented with wonderful flavors and perfectly cooked. Service was excellent. Our best meal in Tours. A small restaurant with an outstanding chef!

We enjoyed a really nice lunch which was well prepared and exceptionally tasty. The owner Pauline and her team are friendly and the welcome was so nice. Lovely decor, nice menu and wonderful atmosphere. Will definitely go back with friends.

Excellent, lightly-grilled scallops on a bed of topinabour, followed by baby squid were the high points of this dinner. Our deserts were less successful: a slightly tasteless mango for me and a mille feuille for my companion who thought the pastry a bit leaden. The welcome is warm and charming, as is the decor, if the deserts improve this could... More

Set in a medieval building across from the church, the decor is simple but effective. The emphasis is on the fresh food rather than the furniture and fittings. We were here for lunch and two of us chose the 'formule' (three courses, 20 euros) and one chose from the menu (18 for the main and 9 for the entrée). A... More

Although the decor has remained the same - minimalist, understated - the menu has transformed from Michelin-style to refreshing modern French cuisine. While we thoroughly enjoyed our first visit here 5 years ago, the new Les Linottes is a revelation. It is always a pleasure to see a limited selection of dishes as an indication that the chef has confidence... More

We traveled with our family in the Loire area. We had dinner in fancy places, but this one was simply the best. The atmosphere was perfect. We quickly got all the food we ordered, with great local wine. The chef did everything she could to make us feel at home including cooking something special for the babies, the kids and... More

Several friends had recommended this restaurant to me, so I was eager to try it out. It is very convenient if you have been shopping in ‘Les Halles’, but a bit of a walk from the main shopping street of Tours. However, I was to find out that the restaurant is good enough to make a special journey to eat... More

My husband and I were traveling with a business group (but for pleasure) staying at nearby Chateau D'artigny. The group was dispersed over several restaurants in Tours for the evening. Three couples made reservations at Les Linottes at the recommendation of one of the travel staff associated with our trip. En route, we "enjoyed" a sudden downpour and arrived at... More

We have found this restaurant through the reviews of a french web site and it is really worth it! Tours old center is magnificent, and it is tempting to just choose one of the many restaurant along the paved road, but most are really overprices tourist traps where we got sick. Les linottes is only 100m from the old town... More
