The hubs had pistachio and I had rum raisin...the booziest version I've ever eaten. The cone wasn't tasty (I'm not sure anything could match the calibre of the ice cream!) so do yourself a favour and get two scoops from the outdoor window and not worry about the cone. Easily the best ice cream we've ever eaten...believe the hype!

You can get an idea of this place simply by looking at the queue waiting for its dessert takeaways. We decided to opt for a sit-down to have relaxed desert session. Pick any of their fruit or chocolate varieties and you will love the taste and remember it for a very long time. there were three of us and we... More

Despite the November chill, all it took was a recommendation by our Notre Dame guide who gave us simple directions across the river and off we went!! I got the salted caramel while he got the vanilla and chocolate. It was really good. The server could have been friendlier.

They say its one of the most famous ice cream parlours in the world. And i must admit i was as excited as a small child on my first visit in 2016. You know you are close when you see people queuing on the street ahead but its moves extremely fast so don't let that put you off if your'e... More

We walked to this spot from the Muse D'Orsey just to have dessert. Was it worth it? Yes indeed. We were so impressed that we returned three more times.

The ice cream parlour that famously shuts up shop during the summer holidays, simply because they can. Their product is worth the effort, and their flavours amazing.

This ice cream was incredible!!! Really the best gelato I've ever had. And the combination of it with the raspberry topping and whip cream was to die for. We stuffed ourselves even after enjoying numerous macaroons and dinner. Some say it's worth it to go to Paris for this alone 😏

I had breakfast here: two scoops of ice cream and a croissant. It does not get any better than that!

Staying in Ile de la Cite / Ile Saint-Louis

Neighbourhood Profile
Ile de la Cite / Ile Saint-Louis
Two islands sit in the middle of the Seine at the very heart of Paris. The more majestic one, Ile de la Cité, sparkles with history. This is the birthplace of Paris, the home of the Gothic Sainte-Chapelle, and the site of the prison where Marie Antoinette was held before her execution. Tourists flock to see the iconic Notre Dame and the beautiful bridges that straddle the Seine. Ile Saint-Louis, the more provincial island, welcomes you with cozy traditional eateries, small boutiques, and what some people say is the best ice cream in the city. This is essential Paris from its very beginnings to its modern appeal.
