Sat out on the terrace one February evening for a drink. Very friendly waiter turned on the heater for us and we enjoyed a nice hour looking out over the fountains and people watching. Cocktails were 6,50€ during happy hour (17-20h I think) which is ok for Paris prices. Nice sized Aperol Spritz.

after visiting Pompidou my husband and I stopped for dinner at Le Brise- Miche. Food was very good. Service friendly and quick. My only complaint was that our molten chocolate cake dessert was a bit burned on the outside. Overall we enjoyed our meal here.

Food was average. Nothing special. Price is reasonable for Paris. Located in downtown Paris (close to the Centre Pompidou). Service is definitely improbable: one of my colleagues due to strict religious diet asked for a simple cucumber and tomatoes salad and we even asked in French to ensure it was well understood and instead he got a mixed salad (to... I happened upon here as my first stop in town. The location, next to the don't miss it Pompidou, is convenient. The decor simple and classic. I went for the traditional duck confit. It was delicious. Moist and crispy. The potatoes that came with it were a full flavored treat. There seemed to be a fair number of locals and... More

The food was delicious, our first meal in Paris. The Foie Gras was excellent, followed by the Beef Cheeks (a bit salty but the meat was cooked excellently) :). We got there early around 7pm and there wasn't many people, the restaurant started to get full around 830. What would make this place five stars is if they found a... More

after a museum visit at Center Pompidou, stop at this restaurant just in front of the Fontaine Stravisky. 1 appetizer + 1 main course around 25 euros. Very tasty duck with honey sauce. DEAL make a reservation via tripadvisor you will have a 40 % discount on your bill.

While wondering around Paris, looking for a place to eat, me and a friend came across this place, when walked again they explained there was a short wait, while we were waiting, we ordered drinks and the staff presented us with 2 different complimentary appetizers. We ordered the set meal, where the food was at a very high standard, the... More

Ordered the shrimp tartare (avocado tartare was delicious) and salmon carpaccio (think the Italians do it better) for starters, lamb confit (really soft and full of lamb taste) and duck confit (a bit tough but nicely salted) for mains (the accompaniments and sauce goes with the mains), and creme brulee (not creamy enough and sugar layer was too thick) for... Really very good food and wine. The service was excellent and we will be back. I had the rognons de veau which I recommend.

Staying in Les Halles

Neighbourhood Profile
Les Halles
Historically the central iron-clad market of Paris, Les Halles has evolved architecturally since then but the pulsating energy has stayed the same. Now it houses the main shopping mall, which nestles underground surrounded by fast-food take-aways and international restaurants coupled with beautiful churches and the old commodity exchange. Parallel to it are the high-street stores of Rue de Rivoli and just parallel to that the Seine. The area bustles with faces from all continents and all ages at all times of the day. If enjoying high-street shopping with easy access to fast eateries and lively bars is on your agenda, this is the place to go.
