I had some very good memories of the restaurant at Les Degres de Notre Dame from previous visits to Paris but when visiting at the end of October 2013 I was disappointed to find the restaurant had closed. Perhaps standards had slipped as indicated by some of the more recent posts? {I have to provide a rating in order to... More

We were a group of 4 people and we only went in because it was after lunch time and we just wanted to grab a bite before continuing with the sights. Let's just say, after an hour - we went away literally with bad taste in our mouths, fuming mad, 46€ poorer and still hungry. We ordered 2 set lunches... More

Nice Location: close to Archeveche bridge, but vey bad food. The pastas were overcooked and had absolutly no flavor, my beef carpaccio was ok but the fires...worse than fast food fries. The dishes were very expesive and it was not worth it. When we told the waiter the food was horrible, he did'nt offer anything to satisfy us ...I certainly... More

We popped in after spying the cheapness of the set menu expecting a standard meal for a great price. The size of each course shocked us and the food was truly incredible. The atmosphere was friendly and cosy, and if you sit in the right place you can get a great view of Notre Dame to boot. Incredible value for... More

We had our first meal in Paris here and took photos of the food, it was so good. I have a dish of beef with white beans that was delicious and my husband had a pasta dish and his first encounter with real French onion soup. Attentive, friendly service. We returned for our final meal in Paris, and started with... More

Having rented an apartment for the week just down the road, this restaurant became our regular for spot for lunch, drinks and relaxing by the Seine. The staff made the experience really enjoyable. Friendly, efficient and charming. Both food and wine were good and reasonably priced. A great find in this part of Paris.

Near Notre-Dame, and don't want to follow the tourists? Go to this wine bar-bistro for a drink or something to eat. Set back from the main road on a small side street in the Latin Quarter, but still within sight of Notre-Dame, the restaurant's food (with a menu in both French and English) is simple and good. The service is... More

We stayed for 8 nights in the adjacent hotel but left it to our last night to dine in the restaurant. The two chefs Kohei Ohata and Erwan Bignier have been at the helm since Nov 2012. The dishes consist of unusual Japanese vegetables and produce presented in a most impressive and delightful manner. The starter oysters were garnished with... More

We started to search a restaurant near Quartier Latin for nine people (4 adults and 5 teenagers). I used the tripadvisor app and came up with a restaurant near this one. We never found it.... lucky us!! We step into this small restaurant and immediate felt ourselfs at home. The kids liked it right away, and coming in with nine... More

Staying in Odeon / Saint-Michel

Neighbourhood Profile
Odeon / Saint-Michel
As the bustling center of entertainment for the residents of the Rive Gauche, the activity at Odéon never stops. Boulevards are lined with traditional cafes, restaurants, and boutique cinemas. The streets surrounding the fountain at Saint-Michel provide eateries from around the world. Lively bars are just next door and the prototypical terraced French brasserie is on every corner. The setting for this area is second to none; the Haussmann-style boulevards are contrasted by monumental architecture and overshadowed by the iconic Notre Dame, all within a moment’s walk from the Seine. This neighbourhood's world-famous bookshops, cafés, and streets will not fail to impress you.
