Looking for a place to enjoy a traditional French breakfast, we ended up at this charming spot near the Montmartre. Entering the bakery, the smell of freshly baked bread and patisserie immediately drew us in. Everything we ordered was delicious, from the brioche & croissants to their homemade hot chocolate served in large bowls. No wonder people are queuing up... More

Popped in for an early Lunch on a Saturday at midday. It was very busy downstairs, however, we noticed a sign saying seating upstairs and there was plenty of room. Decent value for money, great bakery and pastries, however, lunch was a little disappointing. The soup came quite cold and the crepe was average. Hot chocolate in a bowl was... More

Went there early morning with my brother, as I was looking at this restaurant before traveling to Paris months before. My expectations were high and indeed the quality was superb there. Though it took time to get the food, but everything was fresh and soft. If anyone going for vacation or whatever reason, this place is a must to try.... More

Simple review: I'm a foodie. The place is rammed daily. Huge portions, service with a smile. Delicious choice of tasty food. Legendary bread. Want a memorable breakfast? Come here. Finished

We loved coquelicot so much we went everyday for our breakfast during our long weekend in Paris! The pastries are delicious - especially the pineapple Madelines! We also sat in for lunch upstairs which was lovely and relaxing and felt very homey and typical Parisian! We had the pear French toast and the goats cheese toasted Sandwich - both delicious!... Came here early (around 9 am) on a weekday, and the seating area was nice and quit. Lovely neighborhood. Staff was very friendly and waitress in a very good mood. They have different breakfast menu's, with different prices, on which you can also add items, so there is something for everybody. Loved the huge mugs of coffee, exactly what you... More

Had a lovely brunch in a very chilled out, simple atmosphere. It seemed to be popular amongst locals, maybe because of considerate prices / big portions. Service very simple but just enough, considering it's a bakery. Quiet and calm atmosphere and huge chunks of salmon were perfect for a hangover brunch 😄 TASTY!

I went here with friends for brunch and it was lovely. The staff were friendly (they only spoke French) and the food was delicious. Very reasonably priced for the quality of food. We got some items from the bakery on the way out, the macaroons were lovely.

Their food is very good. The staff is nice, with a minimal command of English. They did get my wife's omelette order wrong, which was promptly fixed. Food was uniformly good, with excellent eggs. The difficulty is finding a table if it's more than two of you. They don't actively manage seating, so sit where you can.

I didnt' give it one star because the service was friendly. But the food was both awful and expensive. And the coffee was average. I ordered the breakfast with the eggs and sausage. I asked for scrambled eggs and they came over-easy instead. Not the end of the world but annoying. But the sausage was disgusting. I bit into either... More

Staying in Montmartre

Neighbourhood Profile
Montmartre
Montmartre is a bustling mix of cultures, colours, and styles which changes from one street to another. Ride the funicular (or, for a real workout, climb the steps) to the sublime Sacré-Coeur (Basilica of the Sacred Heart) with its inspiring view of the city. The church is surrounded by provincial streets and piano bars where tourists, artists, and street entertainers thrive. At the foot of the hill, Boulevard de Clichy features shops not intended for young audiences, while residences are scattered to the north and east. The diverse population includes a large part from the Arab-speaking world, Africa, and Turkey. It’s a corner of Paris full of life and dynamism with charms that can’t be found anywhere else.
