Nice cosy Kurdish restaurant with delicious kebabs and good yoghurt-based dishes. Affordable cultural experience.

We were staying in the area and decided to wander until we found something we likes - mu husband certainly wasn't convinced with the style of food but I had read great reviews so we gave it a shot......between my dodgy French and their minimal English, we managed to order a selection of dishes off the menu. All I can... More

We visited this restaurant in 2010, then again during our last visit to Paris in 2013... the later visit was as good as the first. The food and service were both excellent, and the language barrier was overcome by the friendliness. Will will return.

I am reluctant to over-compliment this restaurant, for 2 reasons. First, selfishly, I really hope it does not get crowded, especially with tourists. Secondly, I have to hold my comments in check, because I could over do my enthusiasm. I have not a clue if the food was authentic Kurdish, but I do know that it was excellent. So, pardon... More

Search of something new and different in area sometimes more well known for overvalued or tourist slop and yipster bars, pleasent suprise served by Kurdish owners, need to return to sample some more of the menu, loved bread, lamb and vegetarian dishes.

This is Kurdish cuisine. Kurdish cuisine is a mixture of armenian, north persian, and mediterranean marriage. Have been frequently dining in this restaurant since 8 years. Bread is kurdish and home baked delicious. Lamb is a sin. Yakut wine (yakut is for Rubis) is magnificient. Prices are very very reasonable. The service is quiet because the owners (servers) are very... More

Discovered this place by "accident" but certainly don't regret it! Very good choice of dishes - the usual Mediterranean staples (tarama, hummus, tapenade etc.) but plenty of original offers too. We started with borek & spiced tomato purée - both fine - and for main course had stuffed courgettes (at least three vegetarian dishes on the menu) and stuffed calamar... More

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighbourhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighbourhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theatres, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
