Could not recommend this place enough! Had an excellent meal €22.90 for three course meal that included fois gras and excellent quality steak! Superb! Will come again if in the area! :-)

We had a wonderful lunch here. The grilled salmon was excellent. So was the cheese quiche. It is better to come down from the hill and eat on this street compared to eating up on the hill.

We found this restaurant by chance after our visit to the Sacre Coeur and Place du Tertre. Most restaurants in this area open after 7.00p.m., which would be too late for the Moulin Rouge show. We enjoyed tasty starters – pate and frog legs – followed by a lovely meat fondue, and a tartiflette. We had no time for a... More

My family and I stumbled upon this restaurant after the original one we had planned to eat at did not open until too late. The server was friendly, enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and gave great recommendations! He and the kitchen staff went out of their way to make a fondue for one (it's normally a 2 person minimum), and it was delicious.... More

After we climbed up till Sacre Coeur and walked the streets of Montmartre down, this place caught our attention by its size and cosiness. You can feel here like a local. Food and service was good, although we got offered strawberry jam with foie gras instead of fig jam which was not the best combination we ever had. The only... More

This little restaurant serves authentic french food with great service. We stopped on a rainy evening and were very impressed with the prices and quality of the food. Massive thumbs up!!

My daughter and I came across Le Paname quite by chance, searching for a lunch place on a soggy day in Montmartre. We found it to be more than adequate based on price, welcoming treatment by the owner, and excellent food. I had my favorite a salade parisienne, my daughter had a croque madame sandwich and coffee after. Just a... More

Loved this place! Was quiet, free of the chaos of most other busy touristy places in the area. The food and wine was amazing, I ordered tartare. The waiter was welcoming and patient despite the language barrier - which is a rarity in Paris when you don't speak French! If you're looking to make phone calls, get some work done,... More

I was heading to Sacre Couer and came ion this place. I was dining alone. The food was tasty, the waiter was great, very attentive and with my limited French and his limited English we got through. A lovely dinner, I felt part of the place. Great coffee too

Staying in Montmartre

Neighbourhood Profile
Montmartre is a bustling mix of cultures, colours, and styles which changes from one street to another. Ride the funicular (or, for a real workout, climb the steps) to the sublime Sacré-Coeur (Basilica of the Sacred Heart) with its inspiring view of the city. The church is surrounded by provincial streets and piano bars where tourists, artists, and street entertainers thrive. At the foot of the hill, Boulevard de Clichy features shops not intended for young audiences, while residences are scattered to the north and east. The diverse population includes a large part from the Arab-speaking world, Africa, and Turkey. It’s a corner of Paris full of life and dynamism with charms that can’t be found anywhere else.
