Came here on our first night in the city, beautiful sea bass special, succulent burger and very alcoholic rum baba. Staff spoke English

Arrived in Paris late evening and this place was just across the road. We just wanted some quick food and a glass of wine. Had burgers and chips - quite tasty and great French fries. Reasonable wine. Did the job. Staff were very friendly.

Dined here with work colleagues after a long day of meetings. Classic brasserie cuisine, solid cheap wine selection. The head cheese terrine and leeks vinaigrette were delightful starters. Colleagues enjoyed the mussels, duck and whitefish. I loved the tripe sausage on mustard sauce, truly excellent.

I came here for after-work beers with some colleagues and ended up having dinner here too. I was told that this place was *the* hangout for OECD affiliates based at headquarters, and to be honest, I'm not really sure why. Perhaps it's because the bistro has the "classy/a bit stodgy" vibe. The prices are (a bit) higher, the staff are... More

We had a good lunch today right after seeing the Marmottan Museum. The French onion soup must be popular because my husband had the last order of the afternoon, and I had the club sandwich. Two glasses of Pouilly Fume and we were happy. Many people brought their children. A great place.

Went there with 2 colleagues. One arrived 1 hour late but the waiter didn't complain (we had ordered a bottle of wine). Food was good.

I live round the corner and of all the bars in this area this is my favourite. It's down to earth, with lovely smiley staff. Great atmosphere

We were in La Muette for 5 nights and ate here 3 times. Their foie Gras is delicious; salads are generous, fresh & yummy. Mains range from 10€ & up with cheaper entrees and other things like sandwiches. We tried their escargot, also verrrry good. Foie gras sandwich, good. Duck confit, great. Cesar salad, excellent. French onion soup was also very... More

We lunched here in September, and though a bracing day with a smattering of rain, we chose a table outside. Great for people watching and the other patrons, most sipping espressos, were very friendly. The waiter, too, aimed to please, explaining the specials and offering to take our pictures. The house red was decent. Alas, the lunch offerings were uneven.... More

Maybe he'd had a long day, but the waiter left a lot to be desired. Although there was plenty of space on this August evening, he required a nearby romantic couple to sit on opposite sides of the table. When I asked him to remove a cigarette butt, he became defensive, but he mellowed later. If only the food which... More

Staying in Trocadero

Neighbourhood Profile
Trocadero
This is the neighbourhood of grand and impressive Haussmann-designed apartments and buildings. National museums overlook the Eiffel Tower and embassies fill the avenues and streets. Locals head to the butcher, florist, or bakery on their daily rounds amidst luxury and splendour, all with a view over Paris and its most famous tower. Snuggled in between the grand buildings are small art galleries and homes of historical significance. With a rich legacy from 19th century politics, art, and architecture, you can’t help but be reminded of the belle époque, the Universal Exhibitions and the nobility that have frequented and shaped these streets.
