Everything was fresh and full of taste. We ordered salt and pepper crab, roast duck, sweet and sour pork, morning glory in shrimp paste, chicken & salted fish fried rice and dim sum soup. We come from a Chinese restaurant family and have pretty high standard but we were very satisfied with this meal and would come here again if... More

First time I return a dish because taste burned flavor and they do not want to remove it from my bill. This is the minimum service you expect in a restaurant if something is not touched and the client says taste bad taste like my food cleaned a burned dirty fry pan... The minimum is say sorry and don't charge... More

Had dinner there yesterday. Considering that roasted meat is one of the dishes that sets apart the (real and) good from the mediocre Cantonese restaurants, we naturally ordered it along with char siu (barbecued pork) and roasted duck; spiced duck tongue and crispy noodles with prawns. The roasted pork was YUM-MY, but... the char siu didn't make me go "ga-ga"... More

Basically, its a chinese restaurant as it can get chinese in Paris. Visited more often by chinese locals than french. Very good food, well prepared, authentic taste (unlike some other chinese restaurants in Paris). Large selection of canton food. Service OK, it looks like it is a family restaurant. Good value.

I am not Chinese, and was taken there by the local. We ordered quite a few chef's specialities. Great tofu dishes and fried noodles dishes. Reasonably priced for Paris. Open Sunday of course. I had to queue up around 1pm. Service is on the slow side and you will have to wait a few minutes for food to be served.... More

Being a Chinese descendant myself, am very picky regarding these restaurants. Canton culinary, very good address for original taste, correct pricing and fair reception.

Tired of all fake Chinese restaurants? Likafo is the real deal. This is as close as you get to Hong Kong in Europe. Nothing fancy, just real Cantonese food - and it doesn't get any better than that.

I'd give it a 3.5 but scoring system doesn't do half. I'm originally from San Francisco and also part-Chinese, so finding a good Chinese restaurant in Paris is almost impossible. My problem maybe that I'm comparing what I get in SF, to what I expect to get here in Paris. This is so wrong on so many levels. First of... More

Paris' chinatown is amazing as it offers a great selection of Chinese/Vietnamese restaurants. Beware that many are probably mediocre. The 'trick' is to enter a restaurant where there are many Chinese dining there. It's a good indication of a good restaurant. Likafo is one of them. Authentic cantonese cuisine. While I've read some reviews about poor service, I felt that... More

Staying in Place d'Italie / Quartier Asiatique

Neighbourhood Profile
Place d'Italie / Quartier Asiatique
Far off the beaten path, this part of Paris is a forgotten gem worth exploring. Avenue d’Ivry houses Europe's largest Chinatown with great Asian supermarkets and shops, and a thrilling atmosphere around Chinese New Year. Place d’Italie impresses onlookers as soon as they set their eyes on it. Not far, around La Butte aux Cailles, the streets suddenly imitate provincial France and you’ll feel like you’ve been transported. The beauty of these streets lies in their surprises around every twist and turn.
