Old fashioned with reasonable food and offering value for money. However service was rather chaotic. More seriously staff tried to claim that we had underpaid in order to extract an extra €10 from us. We were not the only party of tourists in the restaurant...More

This is a real old school restaurant. Its packed at lunchtime and the food is heavy and hearty. A full baked cheese to start and a steak for the main course. Its full of locals, workmen, lunchtime eaters. It works well but don't expect to...More

Excellent value for money for one of the last 'blue collar' Parisian table. Nothing fancy but good choice of traditional simple dishes at a price which is really hard to beat (from 13,50 to 18,50 € today for a 3 course meal). Most of it...More

Very homy restaurant, typical North French cuisine. Had a house red wine in a pichet. Simple, what you would expect from in the country. Avoid it if you look for a fancy place.

We ate here during a long-weekend in Paris on a recommendation from a friend. Food and service were both excellent. Highlight of our trip foodwise.

My French is not great having learned it 20 years ago. I found the staff both welcoming and helpful. The food was delicious and very reasonably priced for a restaurant in Paris. Obviously a very good restaurant as it is always busy and with local...More

If you want a simple place near the channel, with small tables and the dishes of the day written on blackboards hanging from the walls, with simple tablecloths and the owner receiving the plates from a small opening in the kitchen's door this is your...More

We went to this restaurant in good faith with some friends visiting Paris. From the outside the restaurant looks very typical french and cosy. The ambiance was good, the food edible, but absolutely nothing more. I would rather describe the food as resembeling the microwave...More

Canal Saint-Martin
The tree-lined Canal Saint-Martin is the focal point
of one of the most romantic and hip areas of Paris.
Watch boats travel along the canal while lovers and
friends take in the atmosphere from the banks or the
bridges. Evenings see hoards fill the embankments to
drink wine and enjoy good company. The colder days
lead people to hipster bars, cozy restaurants, and
concert spaces. Those who are more adventurous may
