Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Just go and grab the long queue and you won't regret it. The croissant comes warm, a delight and you will surely not regret it. Although the queue is scary, it runs very fast. If you're not hungry, take it home, at the end of the day you'll be crispy and remember my advice. It was the best croissant we ate in Paris, pain in the heart to say that it was also the best of Italy.

At the end of our trip to Paris we went to this Boulangerie where we purchased 2 croissants.
The product is very good. Light and not too sweet at all. The price is honest. If I may suggest a larger paper bag for the takeaway package, ours with two pieces didn't close well.

Recommended to us by our hotel, it was a 2 min walk, we were not disappointed and went back twice for breakfast pastries.
The range of baked food on offer all looks delicious. We had breakfast from there two days in a row; the croissants, pain au raisin and brioche (like a cruffin) were some of the best we’ve ever had.
Absolutely delicious and very reasonably priced; well worth a visit.

We have no idea how this small take-out bakery on Boulevard Saint-Germain came by its reputation and positive reviews. Service was absolutely awful. Although there was no queue, the woman behind the counter repeatedly pushed us to order before we even had a look at the display counter. So, in the end we only ordered an ‘éclair à la vanille’ and a croissant. According to the shop front, La Maison d’Isabelle obtained the First Prize for the best butter croissant of Paris and Ile de France in 2018. That’s a long time ago. The 2025 croissant was nothing special. Instead of the ‘éclair à la vanille’ we ordered, we were given an ‘éclair au chocolat’ we neither wanted nor liked.

Wow, just wow. Overhyped stale garbage. Cannot believe a bakery in Paris is selling stale baked goods. I carefully sought this place out and read the tons of great reviews on Google, woke up extra early and waked 20 minutes out of my way to try this awful place. The pan au raisin and another baked item i got were both cold and stale, clearly baked long ago and lying out there for who knows how many days. Cheap bakeries in NY dont do you this dirty. This place clearly relies on tourists who will never return so they dont care if they sell them stale food. I guarantee locals dont visit this dump. Absolutely awful would not recommend. If this place got any good reviews its probably because those folks were lucky enough to get fresh items by sheer luck.

The cake called orange and hazelnut is cleanly inedible.
Besides, we can't cut it up, it's falling apart.
He's gonna go straight to the garbage.
Did the house pastry chef ever taste it before selling it at a relatively high price.

Good morning ,
I go to this bakery regularly. So the croissants are good, sometimes a little overcooked, but that leaves choice for everyone. The raisin breads have diminished somewhat……then sometimes early in the morning we have some from the day before…..
Then this morning it was the pontoon, I am served by a new saleswoman and clearly the position does not suit her. His face closed, not a smile, his mouth pursed. We can ask ourselves the question about this person's idea of commerce. Then no education, hello, thank you, have a good day and even no response to my politeness…..frankly I will perhaps eat less famous croissants but with a pleasure that will begin with the purchase!

Very good bakeries (we’ve tasted the croissant, the pavé au chocolat and the kouglof). However, we were a bit disappointed by the service. More precisely, the croissant was at first too small and too much cooked (compared to the others). When we asked to change it for better, the seller was not friendly at all. On our side, we think they should select the bakeries to always reflect the highest level they claim everywhere on the front of the shop.

This morning, November 28, 2024, I introduce myself and buy an almond croissant. After eating a few bites I conclude that this croissant is from the day before. At the time of the sale this was not told to me and I paid the same price as a fee.
I turned around and pointed out the thing to the saleswoman who does not have a crease to change my croissant for a grape pine.
Be careful, the search for profit can make you eat products from the day before at the prices of fresh......

Their croissants are heavenly … as long as they are fresh. The problem is they have so much inventory that they sell you old croissants!! Do they think that customers are stupid and cannot make the difference? A little bit of transparency would be appreciated. If the croissant is NOT freshly baked just say so!

I bought a baguette and six croissants and been charged for 45.9 euros, which was ridiculous. Went back to the Asian lady at the counter again to double check if the price was correct, and got a refund of 26.7 euros. However, 7 items from a bakery for 19.2 euros are still considered expensive. ( Well, I was in a rush and I realised it didn’t make sense at all after I got back to hotel, which was my fault)
I went there once in 2022, and the croissant was the best plus the staff there was really nice even though I don’t speak French. I might not go back again cause I felt like I was robbed for not being local :(

Excellent baked goods, truly exceptional croissants, soft but crisp on the surface. Unfortunately, here in Paris croissants are sold only empty but maybe this is how if you appreciate the flavor and aroma of butter. In the counter there are many other very attractive boulagerie products. Positive note is also the price, certainly honest. A croissant costs €1.30.

The best croissants that we have ever had. Definitely the best in Paris. Very reasonably priced for such great quality products. Very busy with a huge queue but it moved very fast and staff were friendly. Would definitely recommend putting this bakery on your itinerary for a snack on a trip to Paris

I stopped in as I was passing by and felt a bit hungry.
It was past lunchtime, but as it is a popular shop, there was still a small line outside to eat freshly baked croissants.
However, there was no eat-in space, so everyone was eating standing in front of the shop.

Title says it all! Absolutely best croissant and baguette I've ever had. I don't get the complaints about service - you maybe interact with the staff for a whopping 2 minutes while ordering. Who cares about two minutes of unpleasantness at a to-go spot when you are about to enjoy the most fabulous croissant you've ever had? Fabulous baked goods even in the afternoon.
