This restaurant does exactly what it claims, fusing eastern and western flavours in dishes that are recognisable but different. The tasting menu is full of surprises demonstrating real inventiveness resulting in genuine uniqueness. More than worthy of it's one Michelin star (complete contrast to Epicure - see separate review). The tea and wine pairing with the tasting menu is a... More

Wife and I are very skeptical of new fusion but this was enjoyable in every way. The food was French but totally harnessed the flavors that are familiar to a lifetime chinese food eater. My wife's parents are from HK, and she loved it.

Yes, I am a foodie, but I also hate being charged 600 euro because of hype. Having said that, this place was AWESOME. The food was a real experience, asian french fusion, a dream. The fact that the menu changes constantly based on what is in season makes me excited for my next visit - and I usually do not... More

A wonderful melange of flavors, very well balanced and surprising. Every dish we had was a beautiful travel to Asia from the heart of Paris. Service very good as well. Each ingredient is complementing the other and I had goose bumps the entire dinner. A place to return to. Watch Chef's Table France as well.

We had a truly delightful lunch at the St. Honoré restaurant. We chose the tasting menu and were swept away by the choices. Tightly focused but inventive and even playful, the ingredients were top-notch and the preparation and plating were exceptional. The room is very attractive and the service is attentive without being intrusive. We did the tea rather than... More

If this place was half the price it would be very good, yet not amazing. We had the "discovery menu" with starters, main dish and desert. It seems that they select dishes from the longer menu to compose the discovery menu randomly so you may get luckier than we were. We had foie gras with cockles for starters, sweet and... More

The days are gone, when you just find a restaurant and its either a hit or a miss. Sure, there were guidebooks before, but nowadays with lots Foodblogs (and Netflix) out there, going to places like Yam'Tcha preoccupies you with a lot of expectations. I still think it's a great time to be a foodie, but everbody needs to judge... More

There's Yam T'cha boutique rue Sauval where you can pick up baos, which are pork or vegetable buns, but there is Yam T'cha restaurant, rue St Honore, where you can lunch or dine in style. I am reviewing the restaurant here. The owner is French, her husband is Chinese. The food is Chinese with somewhat of a European influence. I... More

Not for the first time on visiting Paris, my wife and I indulged ourselves by having lunch at Yam 'Tcha and it never falters in the excellence of its food. We both felt the 10 course tasting menu might be a step too far at lunch time (although the food is so delicate and the flavours so subtle that I... More

We finally got a reservation last Saturday. Nice small restaurant with excellent service. Best of all is the interesting kitchen mixing French and Asian influences. All dishes prepared on highest level. Interesting is the choice between wine or tea to the menu. We choose a mix and you get wine to half and tea to the other half of dishes.... More

Staying in Les Halles

Neighbourhood Profile
Les Halles
Historically the central iron-clad market of Paris, Les Halles has evolved architecturally since then but the pulsating energy has stayed the same. Now it houses the main shopping mall, which nestles underground surrounded by fast-food take-aways and international restaurants coupled with beautiful churches and the old commodity exchange. Parallel to it are the high-street stores of Rue de Rivoli and just parallel to that the Seine. The area bustles with faces from all continents and all ages at all times of the day. If enjoying high-street shopping with easy access to fast eateries and lively bars is on your agenda, this is the place to go.
