Limited food choice but oh so excellent! Great service, heated terrace, classy interior. Highly recommendable!

The food was really good, had the french onion soup, and we had the beef stew and scallop dish which were chef special. Really tasty, would recommend this restaurant. Just make sure you have cash, NO credit cards.

We had been to the Pompidou Centre. Whilst there asked for a restaurant recommendation on our way out. This was one of three offered. Everyone is having fun in this restaurant full of local patronage. Very enjoyable food with fun and amusing staff on hand. This was the end of our first day in Paris and we were tired and... More

We ate here in august 2016. Extremely friendly and funny waiters who take the time to explain things. We had a realy good top quality t-bone steak with realy nice matching wine that we got as a recommendation from the waiter. My girlfriend took the snails, which where realy good too. As with most brasseries, you eat outside on the... More

Lovely sunny day and we stopped for lunch. Really pretty interior and nice tables on the pavement. The staff were very friendly and the food was good. The children were made very welcome too.

On a cold Spring night we wanted to stay close to our flat. Indecisive we walked past this cute little place around the block. We sat outside since they had heaters overhead. they were very warm. The gratuity was not included so I was optimistic the waiter would earn their tip. They did, perfect English after trying my bad French... More

Good location. Lovely bread and nice wine. However we should have stopped there. Our Euros 23 beef fillets were ordered "a point" (rare to medium rare with the accent on the rare). When our steaks arrived well cooked we sent them back. Round 2 of steaks came back even more over cooked...when we complained, the owner refused to have them... More

The setting is nice, very traditional and it's open all day so if you're stuck at the weekend wanting late lunch (post 1400 hours) you'll get fed here. The food was mediocre, you'll have pretty much the same in any brasserie/bistros nearby. Two for lunch cost €48, main course each, large bottle of sparkling water and a glass of wine.... More

We stopped here for lunch. We had very tasty onion soups (9.80 euros each) and a crocq (toasted bread) with three kinds of cheese, roasted potatoes and mixed salad. Plus a jug of tap water. All for €30. I recommend it for lunch.

Staying in Les Halles

Neighbourhood Profile
Les Halles
Historically the central iron-clad market of Paris, Les Halles has evolved architecturally since then but the pulsating energy has stayed the same. Now it houses the main shopping mall, which nestles underground surrounded by fast-food take-aways and international restaurants coupled with beautiful churches and the old commodity exchange. Parallel to it are the high-street stores of Rue de Rivoli and just parallel to that the Seine. The area bustles with faces from all continents and all ages at all times of the day. If enjoying high-street shopping with easy access to fast eateries and lively bars is on your agenda, this is the place to go.
