We came before closing but we didn't know that so they were huriing us whole time. They could tell us that they are closing so we would not be ordering the food. Man that was serving us doesn't speek's english so communication was hard. And wifi didn't work. Nothing more to say except wouldn't come next time.

I need to charge my phone so I came here. The food is ok but they only let me charge for 10ms. That's not a good service supposed to be. Won't come back.

Ugh. One of those places where you feel the food regurgitating up in your mouth all afternoon and worry that you have bad beath!! The owner doesn't exactly encourage return visits. You have to wonder how these types of places stay in business....

This chinese restaurant is along trocadero..it is walking distance near the view of the eiffel tower. It is a small cozy restaurant and it has a toilet in it (which is quite a plus point when you are in Paris). The food is great for me since I was really looking for some home meals as I felt fed up... More

Every time I come to Paris, I come to Mandarin de Ming. I find the owner to be very friendly if you engage him in conversation and his waitress is very sweet. Ask him about the photo of him, his wife, and Beyoncé. He loves to give the story. The food is very fresh and light. We had the Vietnamese... More

The service is atrocious. The couple who run it are both obnoxious and rude. When my wife asked for more chips, the lady handed her the bowl and grunted for hero take it rather than set it on the table. The man who took our order would take his pen and tap it hard on my menu as I'm holding... More

Where to eat near the Trocadero? Not at the Mandarin de Ming. This little restaurant seemed like a nice place, but the service was dreadful. We try to speak French and follow the protocol of saying "Bon jour" whenever we enter a shop or restaurant; however, we are obviously American. After we sat down, the waiter handed an ala carte... not bad, had good experience here, the food portion quite small and a bit expensive, everything in Paris to be a lot more expensive than London and difficult to survive...

Excellent meal. Friendly service. Language problems if you speak other than French or whatever form of Chinese the staff speak but nothing that cannot be overcome. Should not deter diners.

We visited as a family of five and although the lady's English was a little limited the staff were very friendly and polite. The food was very nice and would definitely eat there again for Chinese if in Paris. The prices are very reasonable.

Neighbourhood Profile
This is the neighbourhood of grand and impressive Haussmann-designed apartments and buildings. National museums overlook the Eiffel Tower and embassies fill the avenues and streets. Locals head to the butcher, florist, or bakery on their daily rounds amidst luxury and splendour, all with a view over Paris and its most famous tower. Snuggled in between the grand buildings are small art galleries and homes of historical significance. With a rich legacy from 19th century politics, art, and architecture, you can’t help but be reminded of the belle époque, the Universal Exhibitions and the nobility that have frequented and shaped these streets.
