I like the atmosphere at Makassar. Too bad that the Indonesian dishes not avail everyday on the lunch menu. We had a quick grab only n the menu had really good value. The staffs are also friendly and helpfull to Kids.

but we missed the Indonesian part as the only chance we had was to get the lunch menu that weekend. Makassar is located at the Renaissance Arc d'Triomphe, means pretty central. The restaurant is medium size with nice decor and great service. We had nice...More

First let me say the food and selection here is exactly what I'd 'expect' for a Marriott Hotel. The food was varied, plentiful, well prepared and presented at good temperatures. THE GOOD Included was coffee or espresso drinks. A great assortment of breads and pastries....More

I enjoyed a VERY large breakfast with every option I could think of here at the Makassar Restaurant. Not only was there a bread bar, cereal bar, hot dishes but also a menu of egg dishes to order from. The price for the complete breakfast...More

Scheduled early dinner which is not the norm. Food rather excellent even for my finicky teenagers. Also ate breakfast there as guest of hotel. Also outstanding.

Well the place seems to be good. The dining room is large but you are closed to the neighboors. Meals looks nice but portion are ridiculous.. Service is very good. That helps.

Description
This Asian restaurant can be found in the 17th arrondissement of Paris and offers a very Zen like decor yet at the same time is traditionally oriental. The menu features an exotic cuisine with Indonesian accents and specialities from Makassar such as Gedabg Mekuah (fish soups with squid, mussels and a mix of spices) or Bebek Lawar (a salad of green beans and Balinese marinated duck) will transport you to far away places. Prices are more than reasonable for this part of Paris where you can enjoy watching the chefs work their magic from the open kitchen.
