American friends in town - we had lunch here and meal was superb. The staff was super friendly and gave my friends time to ask for food and drinks in the newly-learned French phrases we taught them. Great area.

Especially on a nice day, get a seat outdoors, with a view of the grand entrance to Sorbonne and the fountain in the square. Having some with friends, I sampled at least 4 different dishes, and all were solid, but nothing spectacular. But once you...More

I hesitate to review L'Écritoire: we consider it a hidden gem and would hate to see it go all touristy. The other restos on this place are very touristy, but L'Écritoire has a local feel. It offers very standard brasserie fare: entrecôte with bernaise, duck...More

we wandered down from our hotel looking for a relaxed, outdoor space for dinner. This was our first night in Paris and we were tired. This lovely outdoor space, next to the gates of the Sorbonne was the perfect answer for us. while many others...More

Great spot on the Place de Sorbonne off the main street. We stopped for an afternoon drink (or two) and it's probably best for just that. Food didn't look that great and reviews are also mediocre at best, but if you're look for a place...More

This lil spot is right around the corner from the Hotel Design Sorbonne - in the plaza. We got back late and stopped in, not realizing they were closing. As we made our order to the waiter, he explained they were closing, so we asked...More

This is a very average restaurant in Paris. Good service from friendly staff, but (maybe I was just unlucky?) very mediocre food. Six escagots, of which two were impenetrable, and a very chewy faut filet with tepid sauce poivre and very dry French fries... Oven...More

We chose this restaurant for dinner because it's right next to our hotel and we were exhausted from walking and traveling today. The gentlemen working the dining room and sidewalk were really friendly and clearly enjoy their business and their customers. The service was very...More

by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin
once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which
