I visited Shu last night, must admit the restaurant is amazingly cosy and nice, the staff are super welcoming and professional ,the only disappointment was in the menu where u have to pick one out of three regardless if you want Sashimi or Sushi more, ended up by taking the bigger menu and in it I got 6 pieces of Sashimi only... Wonderful service and menu for something a little bit different in Paris. The chef's menu combines selected Kushiage with classic Japanese dishes and some contemporary twists. Delicious and delightful from the first plate. Service was outstanding and attentive and the Sake list considerable. Tucked away behind a half-sized doorway on a quiet laneway added to the theatre of the experience.

My wife and I went to "Shu" for the first time yesterday and we enjoyed our dinner very much. The restaurant is beautiful, the kitchen is visible but without any smell. The waitresses were extremely kind. We chose two different menus, both were excellent. The chef was kind enough to adapt the menu that was chosen by my wife, so... More

Nice food, nice environment, nice service, but nothing great or especial about it. Don't think it is worth it. Wouldn't go back.

Most amazing Japanese meal I have ever had. Each flight of the kushyiaki kept getting better and better. Shrimp and mushroom , scallop, quail egg and then the finale fois gras with miso sauce. A little hard to find behind the miniature door but well worth iy

I have made reservation before and had to cancel, but was invited by a friend after fashion week. From the entrance practising the idea of Wabi Sabi. The unassuming interior, which transports you to Japan. The food is brilliant and carefully made. Attentive service. Can't ask for a better experience.

Set in a quiet street away from the buzz of St Germain, entry is through a small half door down steps to the basement. The restaurant is calm and relaxing and the staff attentive. Theres a choice of three menus and we opted for the one in the middle at 48 Euro. A range of dishes flowed from the kitchen,... More

Shu, a Japanese restaurant in Paris , this restaurant would be one of the BEST in our 5 years in Europe. Basically KUSHI-AGE, but it comes as course menu so you can enjoy variety of dishes, and It's a fantastic balanced fusion with French.

Staying in Odeon / Saint-Michel

Neighbourhood Profile
Odeon / Saint-Michel
As the bustling center of entertainment for the residents of the Rive Gauche, the activity at Odéon never stops. Boulevards are lined with traditional cafes, restaurants, and boutique cinemas. The streets surrounding the fountain at Saint-Michel provide eateries from around the world. Lively bars are just next door and the prototypical terraced French brasserie is on every corner. The setting for this area is second to none; the Haussmann-style boulevards are contrasted by monumental architecture and overshadowed by the iconic Notre Dame, all within a moment’s walk from the Seine. This neighbourhood's world-famous bookshops, cafés, and streets will not fail to impress you.
