Popular bistro offering pleasant but undistinguished food. Relatively good chicken and fries. Service leaves something to be desired. Best to have a glass of wine, and leave it at that.

The service on this place is terrible.. it did'nt take long to order.. but 20 minute wait for a coffee, and then the coffee was all foam and warm water.. When we finished it took at least 10 minutes before we could pay... sorry, but we are not coming back to this place!

I usually eat alone when I travel for business and this might not be a very nice experience sometimes. My first experience with Le Pre aux Clercs was very good. The service was fine, the food was good, the wifi was also good. That is why I went there for a second time. They recognized me from the other night... More

...And what a great way to start! We happened upon this lovely little restaurant within blocks of our hotel. Great food, wine, ambiance and a comfortable start to our stay in Paris!

2 blocks from the Seine river on one side and 2 blocks from St Germain-des-prés church on the other, this restaurant serves a very nice selection of traditional french food. No surprises except good ones. Prices slightly above average, but you get for your money nice ccoking in a nice restaurant.

Really nice Food, and prices as expected. Service could have been better, it was ok, but I feel that because of the many passing tourists in this area, it was pretty laidback. A pint of Beer - 11 Euros. Steep, but then this is Paris I guess. Cheese was good. Nice atmosphere.

So there we were walking along left bank looking for places to eat and that street filled with restaurants and packed full of people when we found this place, kitty corner from LaDuree. It wasn't too busy so we grabbed a seat before sun down. This is your decent Parisian Cafe/Bistro with decent menu, good service and definitely the ambiance.... More

Location: at the heart of St Germain des Pres, one block from the church. Food: my wife and I ate here for lunch and dinner several times during our stay in Paris. The menu + the daily specials offer a wide range of choices and the friendly waiters have no problem in explaining dishes in very good English. Good quality... More

This was one of those, "Hey, let's try this place" restaurants and I am so happy! The food was great, the service was wonderful, the setting was perfect...I can't say enough about this restaurant. I went there twice on this trip. I tried the duck and the chicken and they were perfect. The desserts were out of this world. Please... More

Neighbourhood Profile
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighbourhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighbourhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
