Went here for a beer while waiting for my train. 10.20€ for 50cl beer, so not that cheap, but I think you pay for the view and the position. Unfortunately the beer seamed a little bit watery.

At Café de L'Est right across Gare de l'Est you get what you expect from a Parisian brasserie : nothing special but a typical counter, Art Nouveau decor, busy but cozy atmosphere, experienced and efficient servers, reasonable prices. And of course classics of brasserie cuisine....More

I had a farmers chicken. The meat was disgusting. Never ever a farmers chicken! The wine was ok but far to expensive for a 1/4. Not a good choice when you have a stop over at the station.

We were really looking forward to eating here especially considering it was a special occasion. We were left a little deflated by the menu and then the food. We felt it was overpriced for what we were served and the wine was good but again...More
