My wife and I were lucky to get a reservation at Reed. It's a small restaurant and the chef personally welcomes you and takes your order. There were three selections for appetizers and entrees. We chose the pumpkin soup and artichoke/mushrooms in white wine as our appetizers. The soup tasted like fresh puréed pumpkin. We chose duck with fig jam... More

This place was intimate and wonderful. The food tastes like home cooked and the service is wonderful. I even went back for an awesome cooking class. Learned a lot, enjoyed the stories and the food. Will go back and recommend to all my friends.

I had the opportunity to eat in Catherine's restaurant after taking a cooking class from her as well. (Separate TA review) The meal was just perfect, from the cauliflower soup, the artichokes, beef bourguignon, a glass of great wine and a dessert that just topped everything. The ambience was perfect with the restaurant 1/2 full and quiet music playing. I... More

Situated on a small street next to the American University in Paris. Reed was absolutely delightful. It's a one woman show with room for about 5 parties. The atmosphere is informal, but gives you the feeling that you are having dinner at a friend's house. And the food... the food is amazing. We had a celery root soup with Granny... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our supper at Reed. Catherine is a very good host and prepares and serves delicious meals. Her cooking school was an enjoyable way to spend a few hours.

This little restaurant is a gem. Catherine Reed is a wonderful hostess and exceptional chef. We enjoyed boeuf and risotto that were beautifully prepared. The cost was about $140: starter, entree, dessert and wine. Make reservations ahead and enjoy this special dining experience. A must when in Paris.

If you are in Paris staying in the rue Cler area, or even if you aren't, you should give Reed a try for a great dining experience. Very intimate and seating only 16, reservations are advisable. Because of the intimate setting, I would think it is best for couples, or single adults, rather than families with small children. Catherine, the... More

I booked REED via a personal recommendation and because it was close to our hotel. The place is small, friendly, romantic. Catherine is the perfect host- welcoming, warm and not overly intrusive. The food was fanastic and whilst its a limited menu.. one would be hard pushed not to find something for the most hardened food critic. Its a relaxing... More

Booked one month in advance of our trip to Paris. We had heard a lot about Reed and wanted to see for ourselves. As our booking fell on my wife's parents ruby anniversary we asked if it would be possible to arrange for champagne on arrival and flowers for the table. This was no trouble for Catherine and when we... More

We had a fun and informative lesson from Catherine on how to make Profiteroles and Madeleines. We found Catherine to be very welcoming, knowledgeable, an excellent teacher, and a sincere/genuine individual. This was an excellent family outing!!!
