Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.

Absolutely brilliant experience at Dame Augustine. We don't live in Paris but saw it recommended. The food was really amazing - creative, inventive, fresh, but also just plain delicious. And the wine pairings that were suggested to us were perfect. The restaurant has a friendly,...smart-but-relaxed atmosphere so you feel like at ease. I'd very much recommend anyone coming.More

Lovely food that is beautifully presented. Attentive service. This is fine dining. We had a special meal here. They also do tasting menus with matching wines.

From the artfully presented 3-part amuse bouche, to perfectly prepared scallops, to finishing with a delicious dessert to share we thoroughly enjoyed dinner at Dame Augustine. The service was also exceptional. Small restaurant, definitely reserve in advance.

Apparently it is the restaurant of the winner of the French version of Masterchef and it shows. Great food, service and accompanying wine. So good we went back for lunch when we couldn't get another dinner. Thoroughly recommended and will definitely be back in our...next visit to Paris.More

This dinner was the absolute best of our whole trip through Switzerland and France, that included some famous parisian restaurants as well. The restaurant was beautiful, staff very friendly and professional, and the chefs clearly passionate about what they do. We enjoyed a 5-course tasting...menu with a wine pairing, and the price was more than reasonable for the experience we had. As a (retired) chef myself I can wholeheartedly recommend dining at Dame Augustine, definitely a must-eat in Paris!More

We just spent a week in Paris going to a host of restaurants recommended by friends or discovered on the lists of supposedly-best places. The best meal we had, by far, was at Dame Augustine, which we discovered simply by walking by it on our...way to Le Sirocco, a nearby delicious Moroccan restaurant. We liked the look of Dame Augustine so we decided to come back a few days later. It is an intimate restaurant that is not yet overrun by tourists or readers of The Infatuation or Eater. The staff is totally delightful. The atmosphere is perfect. It's clearly a place that the locals love, The headline, of course, is the food. The menu is extremely creative and original--but the food is also very accessible. There is not an ounce of pretension in the food despite the fact that the chef clearly marches to their own drummer. This is the kind of place that you hope to find in Paris.More

Exceptional meal. This is a chef who really has an understanding of tastes, and the creativity to make new combinations and the technical chops to execute to perfection, all at a very fair price, and with seamless unfussy expert service. From the haunting amuse of...cold soup of fresh spring peas with a whiff of smoked paprika and mint oil to probably the best dessert we have had in a couple of years, we couldn't stop smiling during the entire meal. Perhaps the leek starter was eclipsed by a marvelous perfect egg, but only because of the stiff competition. Both of the mains were textbook perfect examples of taking traditional dishes, and transporting them to an advanced culinary realm: flawless volaille and asparagus, and 24 hour pork. Fortunately we both ordered the afore mentioned dessert that was a master's thesis on citrus. Service was gracious, timely, and unobtrusive. Decor is bright in sort of a vaguely retro 50's vibe, with a large glassed in front that opens to the broad street in good weather. Extra points for being open on Sundays and for easy access, literally steps away from the No. 7 Metro Les Gobelins stop. Excellent wine list that was more fairly priced than many in Paris these days. You have a number of ordering options: three, five or seven course menus (€48, 68 and 86 respectively) or a la carte, which we did. The two starters, two mains and two desserts were €116, while two glasses of good champagne, and a startlingly good Borgeot Santenay 1er added €102. Amazing value. Menu seems to change monthly. We will return very soon. Highly recommended.More

Our family had a lovely dinner at Dame Augustine after visiting the Catacombs. The food is sophisticated, meticulously prepared, and most importantly delicious. The flavor combinations are inventive and well considered, and the chef is clearly very talented. Staff were friendly and polite. In contrast...to the more formal presentation of the food, the restaurant itself has a more casual feel which is nice.More
