What a perfect local spot! Delightful owner, lovely tapas and wine at reasonable prices, and a warm and convivial atmosphere. The sangria is outstanding-and I’m not really a fan of it generally. The brochettes de poulet were amazing and the food very fresh.

This small restaurant is worth visiting for its delicious food … but the hospitality of the owner Patrice took it to the next level and made it a most memorable and lovely evening! It was a bonus that it was only a few minutes walk...from our holiday apartment. Highly recommended.More

This place is amazing! The owner makes you feel like a guest in his home. Impeccable service and the food is as good if not better than all the places we dined at in Spain. Honestly, this might be our favorite restaurant in Paris. Do...yourself a favor and make a reservation at this gem of a restaurant!More

I visited Bodega Potxolo with my Mother when we visited Paris in May 2022 and we had one of the best meals we have ever had. Patrice, the owner, is a lovely host and incredibly friendly. He introduced us to the chef who talked us...through the food on offer and gave us some recommendations. The food itself was delicious, and so tasty, washed down with incredible sangria. Incredible food, amazing service, and one of the best restaurants in Paris. Everyone should visit this small restaurant.More

Came here for dinner with a friend last night and had an absolutely amazing meal! We’d booked ahead but I’d gotten the date wrong, however, luckily for us the owner was really understanding and sat us down to eat straight away. He was super friendly...and attentive the whole meal through, catering to our every need and stopping by to have a chat and see how we were doing regularly. As we live near the Basque region and the restaurant is filled with Basque decorations we had a great chat! The food was to die for! We ordered 5 dishes, the tortilla, the albondigas, the chorizo au cidre, the chiperon frits and the patatas. Each dish was steaming hot, well presented and absolutely gorgeous. We especially recommend the chorizo and albondigas as even after we finished the plate we soaked up every last drop of the sauce with bread. For the two of us, these 5 dishes were plenty. Another aspect we really loved was the “you only pay for what you drink” policy. We ended up drinking a jug and a half of Sangria, so he only charged us for what we drank, rather than the two whole jugs that you’d have to pay for at other places. This is a really good idea if you’re not a huge drinker as you don’t have to worry about being overcharged for not finishing. All in all, I can’t wait for my next visit to come back and see Patxolo again!More

The owner is extremely friendly and welcoming. The food was delicious - I'd particularly recommend the calamari, chorizo + potato, or the chicken in tomato sauce. The sangria, which they make themselves, is also delicious and very reasonably priced. I would highly recommend a visit,...and will definitely return next time I'm in Paris!More

Amazing place for our last dinner in Paris! Upon arrival, my wife and I were met by the owner. We do not speak French, but the owner is fluent in Spanish, so we were able to have a nice conversation as well as get a...good idea of the various tapas. We were taken into the kitchen and the owner showed us the variety of tapas to order. After five or six tapas and two liters of sangria, we felt great and enjoyed every moment of this place. The ambiance, friendly owner, and overall atmosphere made for a memorable last meal in Paris. Thank you very much and we will be back one day!! Eskerrik asko euskal lagun!More

I am Spanish and I was organizing a dinner for my work colleagues to share a bit of our culture. The owner of the restaurant is French but he loves Spanish food. He was very familiar and friendly. He claims that the restaurant has Basque...food. (Btw, Basque food is characterized for being abundant - which was not the case) The service is extremely good, it is really quick. Regarding the food I think it is an OK representation of Spanish food. By okay I mean positively acceptable, although at a high price. I do not know it these are the Paris price standards but I reckon that potatoes, eggs, peppers and onions are not expensive anywhere in Europe. We had several tapas to share and this idea has been well captured from the Spanish culture. The first thing is that the Sangría is really really good! From the food I strongly recommend the chistorra, chorizo, the fried calamari and the pepper sauce with potatoes. These were really tasty and you can really get those in Spain (my foreigner friends liked them as well). I do not recommend the tortilla though, it was 8 euros for a small slice. This tortilla had a strong taste of raw onion and the potatoes had a strange texture. I said this to the owner and he claimed that it was the basque recipe, in which the potatoes and the onion are boiled rather than fried (I have never heard this in my life). If there is a Basque reading this, please confirm that and I will shut my mouth. I also think that if you have tried good embutido before, the one you can get there might be a bit disappointing. I recommend this restaurant to people who want to have a Spanish experience, yes. I warn you that the price is high for what it is. This can be because it's Paris price standards but you can get better value for money.More

We enjoyed numerous plates including: chorizo, trio of jamon, sliced potatoes, anchovies in oil, deep fried calamari, a white fish, red peppers sautéed in oil, sangria (red wine),cheese platter, olives all at the suggestion of the owner who took our order. The sangria was outstanding!!...As was the trio of jamon. It was no good we ordered a second plate. The service was great and the prices reasonable. The calamari was a little over cooked for my liking but still good nonetheless.More
