Authentic hole-in-the-wall Paris with great meal "crepes" which are actually called galettes. Mine was potato, cheese, and ham. My four sons from age 8-13 ordered based on fillings they liked and practically licked their plates clean. We split dessert crepes for after, though I only had room for one bite, and they cleaned that as well. They preferred the meal... More

Arriving on Rue de Creperie (rue du Montparnasse has many, many creperies), we were unable to get into Josselin across the road, plus it is cash only and we had only cards. We took a chance on Quimper, as it was quiet and had only two other couples (we visited on a Sunday night around 8pm). The decour is traditionally... More

Granted, I haven't tried all the other crêpes restaurants, but when I have, I've been disappointed. Here it's not crowded, the food is good, and there is usually a table outside. Stop by and make sure to have a dessert crêpe with salted caramel.

We had a nice dinner there: we were 16 and we reserved all the room downstairs. People was very kind and we tasted a lot of delicious galettes and crepes. They also took us three kind of cidre and, at the end of our dinner they homaged to us one more bottle. I personally ate a scrumptious galette filled with... More

This was just a small little Creperie, on a street with a dozen others, rue du Montparnasse, not to be confused with Boul Montparnasse, with a rather quaint ambiance. We stopped in mid-afternoon, after the crowds had dissipated. The gentleman who served us, who I expect may have been the owner, was extremely friendly and helpful to us. Between my... More

I counted 13 creperies on the rue du montparnasse. They all look about the same and the product may well vary very little between them. But we chose this one because it has a lovely ambience and decor. It turned out that the place was also very clean and nicely renovated. We were very happy with our crepes also

On a street with a multitude of creperies, we chose Quimper due to the quaint decor and atmosphere. I ordered the galette du moment -- Roquefort cheese, walnuts and salad! Ooh la la! Each mouthful of melted cheese, nuts, salad and galette was wonderful. My husband had a more standard galette with ham, cheese, egg and tomato and enjoyed his... More

Neighbourhood Profile
Montparnasse
The namesake tower of Montparnasse dominates over the landscape but the fun part is the throbbing life that goes on below it. Bright lights, busy cinemas, brasseries and diners encompass hidden museums and parks to entertain the masses. Long avenues lead away from the tower to take you to unsuspecting places and historical monuments and treasures. In between lie adorable ivy-covered houses with beams and small gardens to match. Just a short metro ride away from the centre of Paris this neighbourhood has something for every hour of the day.
