Our local friend like this place a lot and go there because of the food. We were there after a show and had starters and main. The starters - camambert ( yes, you can also have it as a starter ) for three of us and charceuterie for the fourth, and lamb for the lady and so-called entrecotes for the... More

Fabulous wine selection, perfect wine recommendation for my dish, Delicious lamb, and molten chocolate cake even better than I make! They were exceptionally gracious in the face of horrendous American manners. I was traveling with my dad, who STILL can't understand why everyone doesn't just go ahead and learn English, and who believes the only food worth eating is on... More

Affordable dining can be a challenge in Paris, but this fills that spot with splendid food and an easy relaxed atmosphere. I usually go for the special of the day, and have never been disappointed. The perfect choice for a comfortable relaxed evening with the spouse or friends.

Not as good as its 4 stars had led me to believe. The main courses were pretty good but nothing special.

I was invited to Le Mastroquet by a Parisian friend who raved about the place, and after having had dinner there I can see why. I was very impressed by the menu and the wine list, and most of all by the very reasonable bill (approx. 70 euros for two starters, two main dishes, two desserts and a bottle of... More

We had dinner here last night, The starters Salmon two ways was poor and the Burrata and tomatoes slightly better but not great. The main of Cod was OK but the veggies were poor and the Steak was extremely thin and over cooked. It was large however. The final straw was the cheese for dessert. There were two, Comte and... Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighbourhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighbourhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theatres, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
