I have eaten her many times and keep coming back. They have good tasting French dishes in addition to Italian cuisine. The view of Place Contrescarpe is great and as its a small restaurant it isn't as hectic as some of the other restaurants in the area.

This is the only Italian restaurant we found on the bustling square. We sat by the window and had a decent meal. The pizza was average and the pasta was good. We did not want garlic and they were able to make it accordingly. For the neighborhood, it is not overly expensive. Service was warm and funny.

Went here hungry after a full day of sightseeing and walking. Our order was taken quickly and the service was efficient throughout. I had pizza and my wife had pasta; neither was outstanding but still very good. It hit the spot after a long day. I would eat here again.

Yesterday, me and my family, went for dinner in your restaurant, we all got burned pizzas and too much cheese, there was so much cheese on it, it wasn't even melted. Great service anyhow.

We enjoyed a delicious meal of veal and lasagna as this bistro in the Latin Quarter. Had a fabulous bottle of Chianti as we watched the bustling square one evening.

Went using a Groupon. Was told they were out of several menu items but there was enough left to choose from. The "Cardinal" Pizza had three large shrimp and was covered in smoked salmon, crust was thin and under the seafood there was not much to eat. The "vegeteriane" was mainly mushrooms and peppers, some eggplant, good but not great.... More

I had a nice large plate of pasta with a mushroom cream sauce. I was very good and it was also a large portion. I think you get a good amount of food for the price and it is also quite good. I would go again if I was in the area.

One of these places internet web site is rather misleading. Small restaurant, lacks atmosphere. Food is decent but really nothing special. Very average italian. The good thing is that the bill was not too bad...

After three weeks near the Contrescarpe we've developed some favorites, and this is one of them. Excellent pizza, good pasta and other Italian comfort food, a friendly host, and lovely teramisu for dessert. Also, a great place to people watch, especially when the weather cooperates.

After some pretty hairy reviews of said location as well as Cosimodo by Notre Dame I was prepared to eat two Groupons as the company is separate from England or the States but our apartment is down by Place St. Medard so we walked up for a look see. We were welcomed by a very nice proprietor and we sat... More

Staying in Quartier Latin

Neighbourhood Profile
Quartier Latin
The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life, architectural splendour and ongoing merriment. The small streets are filled with classical buildings, student bars and lively eateries while the squares are dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which celebrates the great men and women of France. During the day students rush from classes to the library and intellectuals people watch from the terraced cafés. As night time falls the surrounding establishments fill up and the merriment really begins. The liveliest parts are around Rue Mouffetard, lined with crêperies and international street food eateries, and Place de la Contrescarpe characterised by terraced brasseries, this neighbourhood provides real nourishment for the mind, belly, and soul.
