We stopped in here on our way back to our hotel, it's on the sq with the Jacques tower. We had a very nice hot chocolate and a snack, the staff were very welcoming and accommodating to our trying to order in French. A nice place.

The waiter was extremely rude, I have never had an experience wherein a waiter literally insults the customer. I will never come back here, and for the sake of the new customers I hope this waiter changes his attitude.

The waiter made all the difference to our meal with two pre-schoolers - service was very fast, and he was friendly and accomodating with the children. We went early (5ish), so the restaurant was not too busy. Steak frites - excellent roquefort and pepper sauces. Warning: Although we ate inside, the smoke from the patio wafts into the restaurant.

This tiny French Cafe is delightful! The staff are welcomming & friendly, and an English menu is available. We shared a delicious salad topped with crisp toast with just warmed goat's milk cheese and the special of the day - Beef tartar. Both dishes were fresh, tasty and the servings were generous enough to share for a quick lunch. Accompanied... More

Nice place to rest and get some afternoon sun. They have happy hour from 5 to 8 pm. A little bit off Mon Matte and therefore not to pricy.

We stumbled across this little place after an hour long search for a sandwich. An English menu was available and the staff spoke reasonable English. We ordered a ham and a cheese and ham baguette both of which arrived quickly and were tasty - exactly what we'd been looking for. The service could have been better as the staff seemed... More

We popped in for a quick drink and a bite to eat during a day wandering about. The food was ok, the waitress was very friendly, and the bill was as expected....

Stumbled in le P'tit Bistrot today on a freezing Parisian afternoon. We were greeted warmly and seated quickly. We just wanted a quick bit of warming up so I ordered the classic French Onion Soup with Cheese and my husband, Le P'tit Bistrot's version of Croque Monsieur. Both were delicious although they could have been hotter. The staff were lovely... More

Staying in Les Halles

Neighbourhood Profile
Les Halles
Historically the central iron-clad market of Paris, Les Halles has evolved architecturally since then but the pulsating energy has stayed the same. Now it houses the main shopping mall, which nestles underground surrounded by fast-food take-aways and international restaurants coupled with beautiful churches and the old commodity exchange. Parallel to it are the high-street stores of Rue de Rivoli and just parallel to that the Seine. The area bustles with faces from all continents and all ages at all times of the day. If enjoying high-street shopping with easy access to fast eateries and lively bars is on your agenda, this is the place to go.
