Cold rainy day was warmer with the service here. Cafe was prompt and great and omelet perfect. Tea was great. Not that much to say but was a convenient port in the storm.

At the end of a tiring day we stumbled on this local brasserie where the staff were helpful and friendly and the food, whilst unexciting was well cooked and tasty. Indeed we enjoyed it so much we returned for lunch one day. Always a good sign when local people are drinking espresso at the bar.

I'm glad my wife and l along with our 3 children dined at this eatery. Now we have a life long experience and one we share willingly about the muppet who was our waiter. This guy was outstanding, unfortunately typified the stereotype of the classic French waiting staff. This chap, who doubled as the owner, really didn't want 5 hungry... More

I had dinner there with my parents. The best entrecôtes we had in Paris: the meat was of very high quality and perfectly cooked

While in Paris in November, the time came for my wife and I to scout a restaurant for my birthday dinner. We looked around just off the Champs Elysee and found this place located on a corner. We asked for a non-smoking section and were taken to such. The heat was on and quite uncomfortable and we asked for the... More

This was our first stop in Paris. We were renting an apartment in the neighborhood and we were very early for our meeting with the landlord. I ordered the Parma ham baguette which was amazing! My husband had the Monsier Croquette which was a ham and cheese sandwich with cheese melted on top. We both had cafe latte and hubby... More

Very friendly staff and good value coffee for this area of Paris. An ideal location to stop for lunch if you're visiting the Louvre or Pompidou. Toilets are nice and clean too, and only accessible by customers. We didn't order food but it looked tasty and was very reasonably priced.

Stopped in for a couple beers, after a long day touring the Louvre. Friendly staff and the prices were very reasonable. I didn't eat here, but the entrees looked really good. I also got café here in the morning - 1 euro at the bar.

Staying in Les Halles

Neighbourhood Profile
Les Halles
Historically the central iron-clad market of Paris, Les Halles has evolved architecturally since then but the pulsating energy has stayed the same. Now it houses the main shopping mall, which nestles underground surrounded by fast-food take-aways and international restaurants coupled with beautiful churches and the old commodity exchange. Parallel to it are the high-street stores of Rue de Rivoli and just parallel to that the Seine. The area bustles with faces from all continents and all ages at all times of the day. If enjoying high-street shopping with easy access to fast eateries and lively bars is on your agenda, this is the place to go.
