This restaurant is special, its open only during noon (11:30-14:00) and its in the basement of a church which gives it a special atmosphere. The food is a bit basic but very good and for the price (13,50 Eur for 3 courses) just unbelievable (keep in mind that its Paris). The Service is very friendly and helpful, they are all... More

I had lunch at this restaurant today as one of a group of five women. It's not necessarily going to suit everyone - two of our group were not impressed - but some, like me, will love it. I love the concept, enjoyed the food (a creamy mushroom salad, steak, chips and braised endive, and coffee ice cream), and found... More

A great find! Although you have limited choice over the menu, Foyer is a fantastic spot for lunch. The food is simple, rustic but very tasty indeed. The atmosphere is friendly and the staff went out if their way to make us feel welcome. A little café inside too for a decent enough espresso for less than a Euro! Well... More

Below Eglise Madeleine and right by Metro Madeleine is the quirky cafeteria Foyer de la Madeleine serving home cooked french food for lunch only Monday to Friday 11.45 to 2.00. Choice of a couple of entrees from a tray going around, two mains to choose from, and a selection of desserts all for E13 (well E8 if you buy a... More

Nothing can be compared with this place! The food was simple and healthy, the price was so fair that it allowed us to spend almost one week in Paris, the people (volunteers) who serve in there are simply wonderful. We felt at home and had a great experience. The place itself is magic. You couldn't ask for more.

This is a busy place to eat - run by a group of feisty older ladies as a fund raiser for the homeless of Paris. The choice is a bit limited, but the food good, very reasonable and the service and care first class. Would go back.

To the reviewers who hated it because no one spoke any English - this isn't McDonalds or Subway - its lunch with the locals in a church's wine cellar staffed by church volunteers - read up on it a little before hand and you'll enjoy yourself! I went to Foyer de la Madeleine for lunch on a Tuesday in January.... More

As a tourist who doesn't speak French, I would at least like to see a menu in French, which would help my husband and I understand how things worked out there. Let me write our experience in steps so that you don't experience the confusion and the disappointment we had: 1. We enter the foyer, stand in the queue. No... More

Surrounded by some of the priciest food shops in the world, this is an extraordinary Parisian place: Friendly, volunteer staff serving good food for great value. Lunch only. 8 euros for appetizer, main, bread, and small dessert (plus 5 euros for annual membership card first time you dine there). I speak no French and the volunteers were incredibly friendly, directing... More
