And popular. Had lovely onion soup. So good. And in the evening happy hour - one mojito! Very nice and friendly service. Only negative is the loud music.

It is very difficult to rate a restaurant by just a cup of coffee, but this place was fantastic. After a long day of sightseeing all we wanted was a quiet place and a strong cup of coffee. We found both here. The waiter was fantastic, service impeccable, and we were extremely satisfied. Don't know about the food but highly... More
We called in here as we couldn't find the restaurant we were looking for. We had the lamb with a mushroom sauce and it was delicious. We had several Kir, even I had one as it was delicious. We decided to return the next night as the service was very good, and the food worth a second visit.
After a long day ahead of walking around town, we stopped at this location as it was along the route the to our hotel. We had no idea what to expect, but the menu looked good so we gave it a try. My wife and and had simple but delicious croque monsieur sandwiches which were just perfect. My sister-in-law had... More
We visited this place twice during our stay, for evening meals. Service was good and on the first visit we each had the menu du jour and my partner really enjoyed the French onion soup but her steak less so. The decent glass of wine helped some. I paid the slight premium for a rump steak which was well cooked... More
Went there on Friday evening when I was waiting for my bus. Ordered mules marinere which were decent and an apple pie for dessert which was way too sweet. Service was good and attentive. Food was ok. Nothing special, nothing bad
We ordered one pasta with three cheeses which was fine and two spaghetti bolognese. this were delivered in hot bowls with barely warm in places and cold. I told the manager and they were removed and heated or so you'd think. they were still not hot but more edible. We were not offered anything in way of compensation and they... More
We stopped in this small brasserie for drinks on our first night in Paris, and to people watch, around the corner from our hotel. The waiters and waitress were very friendly and anticipated our needs well. While attentive, they were not overwhelming. When looking for a light meal a few nights later, we decided to stop again. Great food and,... More
Staying at a very good hotel in the area but not prepared to pay the shocking rate for breakfast! On our second day came across L'Escale as we walked along the Avenue Grande Armee, had tried several other nearby venues for dinner and saw the sign outside for breakfast at 12 Euro..included orange juice, fruit dish, croissant, scrambled egg &...
