We visited ROY on our last day in Paris, wanting to get ourselves some tasty treats to take home. The owner was very pleasant, happy to take time to explain various products and giving out some samples. The chocolate and macarons we bought are very high quality and delicious. Highly recommended.

I have been in Paris for more than 40 years. Like many French people, I enjoy fine food. For those who don't know yet French chocolates, you can try to define what they taste in comparing them to Belgian and Swiss ones: no cream (unlike Godiva), slightly less sugar, more cocoa. If you like or want to discover fine French... More

You will die if you do not visit this place. The chocolate is just so good. Bought lots for the kids - but not much made it home.

Wonderful chocolates and supremely helpful staff and owner. Worth a visit during your stay in Paris, or try the efficient mail order website. They even delivered to us in Sweden! Highly recommend the yummy chocolate carrés.

We purchased a variety of items, some for our travels and some for gifts to bring home. The staff were very helpful, offering tastings and nicely wrapping our purchases for transport.

The chocolates at this little shop are wonderful. Like everything in Paris a little expensive, too. Brought some home to share with my friends because I liked it that much.

Staying in Trocadero

Neighbourhood Profile
Trocadero
This is the neighbourhood of grand and impressive Haussmann-designed apartments and buildings. National museums overlook the Eiffel Tower and embassies fill the avenues and streets. Locals head to the butcher, florist, or bakery on their daily rounds amidst luxury and splendour, all with a view over Paris and its most famous tower. Snuggled in between the grand buildings are small art galleries and homes of historical significance. With a rich legacy from 19th century politics, art, and architecture, you can’t help but be reminded of the belle époque, the Universal Exhibitions and the nobility that have frequented and shaped these streets.
