So I came to visit this restaurant by following the good reviews about this place on trip advisor but I was really surprised with the food quality. They must have changed their chef or something but the food was kinda disgusting. The baked/grilled/friend dim sum that we had, had old meat and they were tasteless with a hint of weird... More

Dinner, We went to gay paree to go pinting for the day/evening. After spending 2 weeks in France and eating ++cheese, snails, creamy stuff etc we fancied something different. We were all really happy with it. Food was great also really good value which was very welcome after paying for 10 euro beers all day. The waiter was a total hero,... More

We walked past this place and decided to pop in for some Chinese food to awaken our tongue after 6 days of French food. Staff were friendly, clean, dim sum decent( please do not compare to North American standards) and other food tasty. Reasonable price : Avg 20 euros per person I would recommend this place.

We love going to this restaurant, and once again we were not disappointed. La maison du dim sum cannot be faulted on any front. The restaurant itself is warm, welcoming and well decorated, and unusually for Paris, spacious. The staff are genuinely friendly, and the service is on point without being overbearing. And onto the main attraction: the food. Everything... More

We stayed here after having read the good critics which I can mainly confirm. We were here at lunch time and there was a Buffett all you can eat style. The Dim Sum where nice and all was fresh. There was a good choice of different Asia food and the dessert was also good. I would go there again and... More

We took the tasting menu and was impressed by the amount of food. The dim sum were always served hot and fast, I loved the variety of fried dim sum, especially the one they named "Bag of gold". For the main dish we took Salt & Pepper Shrimps with Cantonese rice, which was very flavourful, and they even put shrimps... More

I have been eating in this family-run Chinese restaurant several times a month for a few years now. At lunchtime there is a self-service buffet with an excellent selection of tasty starters, main courses and desserts. In the evening the food is served to your table by friendly, welcoming, professional staff. You can still eat as much as you like... More

We just discovered this around from where we stay each year. We had nothing but Dim Sum: assorted Vapeur, Grille, and Frites. Everything but meat and plenty to feed 4 people. We were with friends that live here and they loved it as well.

Got an appetizer of pork dumplings and some noodles to go to take upstairs to our room. $40 and was just ok. Next time will try the tables where they bring the carts around and you choose different baskets of food.

Dear customer, Thank you for your comment. I am very surprised that you found that our prices are expensive. We suggest different take-away menus for the diner : - 7,90€ for 12 pieces of steamed/grilled dim sum or 8 of fried + Drink + dessert - 9,50€ for a main course + side dish + drink + dessert - or... Staying in Quartier Latin

Neighbourhood Profile
Quartier Latin
The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life, architectural splendour and ongoing merriment. The small streets are filled with classical buildings, student bars and lively eateries while the squares are dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which celebrates the great men and women of France. During the day students rush from classes to the library and intellectuals people watch from the terraced cafés. As night time falls the surrounding establishments fill up and the merriment really begins. The liveliest parts are around Rue Mouffetard, lined with crêperies and international street food eateries, and Place de la Contrescarpe characterised by terraced brasseries, this neighbourhood provides real nourishment for the mind, belly, and soul.
