This cosy little cafe serves warm, traditional food throughout the day. My favourite dish is the chicken tagine which they cook to perfection. To avoid disappointment on Sundays you can call ahead and reserve a portion! Their raviolis are also very good as are their 'farcis' - stuffed vegetables. The place is run by the incredibly warm and energetic Lola!

My husband and I were in Paris in May 2014, staying near rue du cherche midi. We were there for about 9 days during which we ate at Marie The three times! We look forward to returning to Paris and to this restaurant. Recommended: Chicken Tajine, Chevre Quiche, Oeufs en Cocotte, chocolate dessert with creme fraiche

Lola the owner is a beautiful lady who takes pride in her fantastic home made traditional food. Her berry crumble is just delicious and she knows how to make a really good coffee which is hard to find in Paris. Highly recommend that you go for lunch or a afternoon tea. We have been going to this café the last... More

Cute little salon de thé with a nice variety of teas, a few homemade cakes, crumbles and pies and an extremely nice owner who will make you feel welcome and comfortable at any time of the day. This is not an elegant local and everything from the tea cups to the tables is quite "simple"...not always spotless by the way.... More

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighbourhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighbourhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighbourhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
