I don't understand why some reviewers have rated this gem poorly. For me this is the one of the best restaurants in town. End of story. Food is delicious (try the amazing eggplants or their "boeuf malard" - mouthwatering). Portions are not rationed. Service may be harsh but efficient. Location is central and practical. Only cons (which however have never... More

Food was OK. Nothing that good, pretty average. The mapo tofu was too spicy and a lot of dishes were way too salty for anyone to eat. That wasn't the worst of it - the service was APALLING. Though most of the waiters seemed fine, the one we got was terrible. He was rude, impatient, unfriendly. Slammed dishes, ordered us... More

We used to live in china so it s good for us but if you expect nice place and comfortable chairs and tables it s not the place. The floor is slippy. The food is a real and good Sichuan spicy food. It s full of Chinese tourists and it s clearly their main business. If you want to discover... More

This restaurant is for Chinese tourists who shopped all day and now want to taste something familiar. The interior is genuinely what you can expect from a usual Chinese diner. Very much déjà-vu. The food though is not Chichuan by any means, barely spicy and not vivid at all. One strong point that this restaurant has is a sheer gigantic... More

I am not able to review the food, as me and my partner never got that far in the restaurant. We arrive at the restaurant at about 17:45, and the staff are clearly having their meals. One of the lady sat us down, provided us a menu, and literally ignored us for 15 minutes. Finally, the lady came by us... More

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighbourhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighbourhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theatres, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
