Stopped by here for a few drinks, the staff were great, there were also a few funny locals to chat to and the beer selection was good for Paris. It's a bit rough around the edges but I was ok with that, it's all part of the character of this place!

Obviously if it's a big hit with the locals as shown by the huge smoking crowd there. Anyway we sat inside and paid €5.50 for 50cl of carlsberg. Beer good, service good and ambience great. Will be there next time

Nice place for a beer with friends after work. VERY hot inside in the summer. I have not tried the food.

I have visited this bar a few times and found it to be affordable in comparison to some of the bars in Paris where the prices are scary. The quality of Lager is also much better than in some bars and the food decent as well. The atmosphere is o.k. and the service good. Worth going in.

As a huge fan of Metallica, I was quite excited to find what appeared to be a tribute bar to the front man of one of the greatest Rock and Metal bands of all time. Initial thought's on the place looked OK, good memorabilia referencing the man himself and Metallica on the walls. I struggle to understand why a bar... More

Spent a Saturday evening here. Drink is notoriously expensive in Paris but here was better value for most (c€6 for 'pint' of Brookyln). They also did cocktails at €5. Bar man was sound!

If you are lucky enough, maybe you can spend a great evening here. The place is so well located, the atmosphere is great and the place is so cool, they have huge screens to watch sports and its big enough and with terrace. I was gonna give them a good rating, because they even have happy hour for beer for... More

I love this bar, and many people probably won't understand why if they visit. The drinks are cheap, the bartenders are super friendly (and speak English), the location is great on Grands Boulevards. The bar is pretty dirty though, so just go in expecting that. Make sure to order a flaming shot if you do go, they will literally light... More

Looking for a place to watch the Champion League's match, the choice was between one of the pubs near the Moulin Rouge. Guys, you still have a chance, avoid this place instantly! Poor service (just one waiter for both areas, outside and inside, which kept smoking outside without even wash his hands -yes, straight away he took plates from the... More

During a recent trip to Paris we seen this bar and was excited to visit. We waited until Friday (January 2nd) to visit. The outside area was full and the security on the door did not try stop the street sellers from blocking up the area. I shrugged it off and walked inside. The whole place was in darkness, apart... Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighbourhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighbourhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theatres, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
