Where to go to eat on a cold day in Paris after a while on the hop on hop off bus....stood out the front looking at the menu when we were invited in. Good choice. Kids (teenagers) had hotdogs with chips and we had a cheeseburgers with chips. Coffees and hot chocolates and we were all ready to go again.... More

We always visit Cafe du Cadran for breakfast when staying near the Opera Garnier. Great selection and friendly staff. Coffees, croissants, omelettes always spot on and won't break the bank. Open Sunday's too.

The staff if extremely prompt in getting your food or drink out to you. On top of that, they make sure to interact with customers at a personal level, and do a wonderful job at it. Not only did I come to Paris for a couples vacation, but I also made very unsuspecting aquaintences who made me laugh until my... More

We stopped in for a coffee and dessert during a downpour and were pleasantly surprised by our choice. Of course this is a Paris cafe, so it's already got something going for it! We ordered a trio of desserts and a flan. Both were fantastic! Very inexpensive and great service. A lucky choice!

We visited for a quick lunch, Our group of 6 was attended to quickly and sat down near the window. I ordered the parisienne salad which was larger than I was expecting but tasty and just what I needed. Service was prompt despite the fact it appeared there was only 1 wait person at the time. The gentleman (perhaps the... More

Stopped for quick snack, croque monsieur, and a beer. Place was buzzing with people from nearby offices, etc., and was obviously a popular lunch time venue. Staff friendly, service quick and food hot and fresh. Ideal quick break.

We were staying in a nearby hotel and popped in for breakfast a couple of times. Great coffee and croissants and really good omelettes also. Went in one night for an unfussy evening meal and although it was standard cafe fare, roast chicken and a cheeseburger with chips, it's a nice place for a quick bite with friendly, attentive staff.... We found this small restaurant accidentally - we were looking for some place to eat and our eyes went on the small but crowded place on the corner. We stepped inside and it done its magic. The waitress, her name is Kristina, I guess, was amazing. She sit us, gave us menu and was very helpful, even with her trying... More

We were staying in this area and found this restaurant on the corner. It was busy which is always a good sign. We had steaks which were excellent, good sized portions and a good selection of wine. Spirits were on the pricey side though.

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighbourhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighbourhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theatres, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
