Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Superb steak. Relaxed but classy vibe. Everyone clearly enjoying the great food. Excellent service - my wife wasn’t very well but Julien was very helpful and kind. Highly recommended.

Wow! What can I say?! What a FANTASTIC find! Celine helped us with a reservation in advance of our visit to Paris, and was the first to greet us when we arrived. She was the most perfect host, and made sure we were well looked...after all night. And as for the food…. It was simply STUNNING!! We had the 1kg of grilled beef rib to share, and it was simply the best beef we have ever had! Cooked to perfection (it was recommended medium rare). All the food (starters, mains and deserts) all tasted so fresh. And to top it off we even had an evening of entertainment thanks to the pianist, Scott Sontag, who had the whole restaurant singing along with the song sheets provided! What a lovely man he was too. Talking to us throughout and taking a genuine interest in where we were all from. I booked this meal for the eve of my wife’s 40th birthday and for our 1st night in Paris, and it turned out to be one of the best decisions ever!! They even presented her with a birthday cake and sang happy birthday to her unexpectedly! A perfect evening for a perfect start to my wife’s birthday celebrations! Thank you so much to Celine and all the staff at Le Louis. You really made our first night in Paris perfection! We want to come back just to visit here again! Magnifique!!More

Great choice of restaurant close to our hotel near Les Halles in a super area. It was a Friday night (in January) and not as busy as we’d expected. We went for the full French meal experience - Kir royale, fois gras, cuisses de grenouilles,...tournedos Rossini, fromage, dessert, digestif…. And every taste was amazing. The waiter was pleasant, but took a few courses to warm-up to a couple of Irish lads in his restaurant. By the end he was helping us sample their excellent digestif choices. Le Louis…. Bien joué!!More

We did not know what to expect when we were referred to this restaurant by our hotel’s concierge but were totally blown away on all fronts- the ambience was lovely, the owner/hostess charming and welcoming and the food was incredible. Truly delicious. We wanted to...taste a desert but wound up devouring their molten chocolate cake with caramel sauce and amaretto ice cream. There was also a wonderful pianist playing staples and encouraging diners to sing along. The price was fair. We cannot wait to go back.More

Order their like signature dish from their menu: Côte de Bœuf Grillée (1kg), Sauce Béarnaise, Frites & Salade (à se partager) Very Tender Grilled Prime Rib (1kg), Bearnaise Sauce, French Fries & Salad (to share) When the dish arrived, surprisingly we were told chef hasn't...made the Bearnaise Sauce but a special sauce only. For a fan of proper Bearnaise sauce, this was a big let down. Also had waited for a long time for water and wine refills. We saw lot of people had to came to a caunter to pay their dinner because of the long waiting in the table. We don't know if someone got sick of the staff since it felt the waitress just didn't had to time to serve the whole restaurant. Food was tasty, except Delicatessen Plate: mix of French Charcuteries and the let down for not having the Bearnaise sauce.More

We went on Saturday night and had such a wonderful evening - we were warmly welcomed and the excellent friendly service continued throughout the night. The food was excellent with my husband and ten year old daughter sharing the 1kg Prime Rib which they could...cook to their liking on the hot stone and I had a wonderful scallop risotto - the menu is short which ensures amazing quality. Then around 8pm the very engaging resident pianist arrived and we were so fortunate as members of his choir were dining downstairs also - he played everything from Champs Elysees to Bohemian Rhapsody and everyone in the restaurant sang (even me and my signing is nothing to write home about but it was so inclusive) - we witnessed something very special and we shall never forget this evening, thank you all for making our first night in Paris so enjoyable and totally memorable. We didn’t really need dessert but ordered it and another bottle of wine so we could soak up the atmosphere - we will definitely return! Thank you!More

We chose this for a Saturday evening dinner based on reviews and the fact we needed somewhere close to our hotel. In future ( and we will be back ) I’d happily walk miles over hot coals to come here. What a great evening. Wonderful...food and wine accompanied by Scott’s piano playing and a multi-national sing along. All topped off with the magnificent front of house skills of Celine. We were hoping to find a new “go to” restaurant in Paris and we succeeded in spades. See you next time.More

Le Louis is undoubtedly a must when visiting Paris. From the moment you walk in you are greeted with beautiful French decor and a smell of fresh, homemade food. The owner is absolutely amazing! So kind and attentive and runs an amazing restaurant! The chef...prepared food that we still think about today! Their bottomless brunch a Sunday was top tier, but I must emphasise that both times we ate at Le Louis we left very happy. Le Louis has become our favourite memory from our trip to Paris and I would encourage all my friends and family to visit. Simply amazing! Tommy and Paudie IrelandMore

We ate at Le Louis this past spring, and had no reservation. I think that we spent no more than an hour here for dinner.
