This famous bistro is located in St-Germain-des-Prés and it is often crowded with tourists. We have been there for lunch and dinner. The dinner was nice, less crowded than lunchtime. The service was reliable and good. Overall it was a nice experience, great for people watching.

This place is an establishment. While there are better Bistro's, Les Deux Magots is constant with its quality, great location, and good service (French service standards). I love there hot chocolate and there deserts. Always recommended.

We enjoyed an expensive bottle of champagne watching the world go by served by traditional waiters which was enjoyable, you expect to pay a bit more in these places and it was our first day in Paris. We decided to eat there later and were disappointed.. the pasta was not cooked fresh nad the ragu was ok. Very average for... More

We always wanted to visit here. We had coffee, not cheap but lovely it has to be said. We returned for dinner, and paid a lot of money for the whole experience of eating here. We don't have an issue with that, but must be honest with ourselves and say we have had much better meals for half the price... More

Happy to have gone there, nice cafe to sit and watch the world go by in Saint Germain. I had a croque madame and it was nice, my fiance had a fish which was really well made.

Always a destination for us when we're in Paris. Food, ambiance, staff, all typical of what you'd come to expect from an historic landmark whilst in Paris. Going back to the 30's where such artists as Triolet, Louis Aragon, Jean Giraudoux, Picasso, Hemingway, Sartre and Beauvoir. You're stepping into history so know your French and expect to be treated as... More

Good service and seems to have been around for a long time (in a good way). We had a late lunch, beef tartare and pasta of the day and is was good. Nothing out of the ordinary but it was good.

Eessentially a corner cafe which serves limited food. The menu has a certain dish designated each day. I arrived about 5.30pm, early by any standards, and the main course of the day was already "finished". I was then offered another main course, sounded good, only to be told 3 minutes later that was finished too. I then settled for a... More

Neighbourhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighbourhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighbourhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
