Ordered the duck and the cod. Duck was dry tasteless and had breaking bones in it! Cod was filled with bones and a sour sauce. For 63euro I'd rather have gone to somewhere my money was appreciated and the chef cared. Ps canceled dessert given how bad the mains were wasn't tempting fate with the chef's special...

The restaurant is small and cozy. I ate supper on a Saturday night. The server was very busy so he only showed up when he needed to take my order or to drop something off. Escargots were good as was a piece of sea bass.i found the appetizer and main course good but not great. The candied apple tart was... More

We always think this is difficult to find but so glad we did!small restaurant, very original French ...one waiter a little surly in the old style.....but food delicious, do try the pork lollipops! And my fish dish was perfectly presented and looked so appetising.good wine list. Highly recommended

My wife and I went here late at night after a walk from our hotel. The appetizers were excellent as was the wine of the day. It's definitely overpriced but what do you expect in the 1st arrondisement"? Ravioli and ceviche. The main courses were not as good - casse de porcelet too heavy and the fish of the day... More

Chewiest and not tasty Beef we ever had. It was just like sole of a sandal. Very cosy if you can speak French and you will sense the night life of Pari here.

Very disappointing experience. The food was inferior and totally overpriced. Okay service. The Rostang trademark is quite overrated.

This hotel was recommended by the hotel concierge. That always makes me a little leery but in this case, it was completely easy. The server was very engaging and answered all of our questions. The food was excellent and we had several seasonal dishes. The cream puffs for dessert were the best I have ever had in my life! If... More

Description
L'Absinthe is a "bistrot de cuisinier", a cooks' bistrot, firmly modern. The menu is entirely created, tested and produced in the restaurant's kitchen. Every single task from the slicing of vegetables to the seasoning of sauces including the filleting of fish, is executed in situ from A to Z. Each dish conveys the creative family spirit at the rate of the seasons and inspired by their different journeys around the world.
The restaurant's interior design will also make you feel this travelling and dynamic atmosphere: you will eat in setting which is a mix between a typical Parisian bistrot and a loft in New York.
