If you want to sample some great French wines in a traditional bar, head here. The food is good too, and relatively inexpensive. Best of all was the bar staff (especially Elise) who was very helpful and spoke tremendous English.

Great find. Went with the intention of having a quick glass of wine but enjoyed it so much we stayed for another and had a cheese plate too. Waitress was very helpful.

We stopped here to meet family, and shared a bottle of very nice Saint Emillion Bordeaux. We also decided on a spot of lunch, and on recommendation from the owner, we ordered an open sandwich topped with melted sheep's cheese and air dried beef- which was delicious. A fantastic little place, within 2 minutes of the arc de Triomphe, to... More

Arrived just as the sun was setting, took a table on the pavement. The efficient serving staff were soon with us and after reviewing the menu our choices were made, including a very nice bottle of red wine. The meal was excellent and the location very good being near the Opera area.

We visited L'Ecluse twice during our week long visit to Paris. On both occasions Cistine looked after us making recommendations and appropriately served meals & drinks. Excellent menu with various dishes and appetizers. Meat, chees & fruit plate was out of this world. We closed our week with a bottle of champagne. Reasonably priced and fantastic ambience.

Income for years to the wine bar. Great and friendly young people. The know leg and the help is extra ordinary ! Order by glass or a bottle. Most of the wine are second label of the big Bordeaux chateaux......a must when here. The food is better as in the Resturant. Even the only serve small cold platters....champagne available..

My husband and I tried L'Ecluse as it was close to our hotel and the menu looked good. The staff were friendly and welcoming. We had great starters; the terrine for me which was excellent and the fois gras for my husband which he really enjoyed. For mains I selected the duck breast which was very good and cooked well.... We had a bottle of amazing wine and the rich chocolate dessert at L'Ecluse. The service was very friendly and we enjoyed being a bit off the beaten path from the crowds to enjoy a nice late night with a bottle of wine.

We thoroughly enjoyed our dinning experience at l'Ecluse Carnot, made all the better by Monsieur Louis Henri whose assistance was so helpful. The food was delicious, the ambiance pleasing, and the service personal and delightful. We would not hesitate to come again. Bon Appetite!
