Close to our hotel we popped in on our first night in Paris. Absolutely gorgeous. Delicious butternut squash veloute and lightly pickled beetroot and endive salad to start. To follow we had steak bordelaise and belly pork with puy lentils washed down with a beaujolais...More

Small and unassuming. Only 2-3 tables in front but plenty of room inside. Nice old French decor and comfortable surroundings. Walking distance from Gare de Nord and Gare de l'Est. The menu is brought over on a chalk board and the waiter goes over any...More

L'Enchotte has never dissapointed. It is superb. Although only French is spoken do not let that put you English speakers off. A culinary oasis near the Gare's de Nord et de l'Est. Search it out and spoil yourselves. You will keep coming back. Bon appertit.

Went here on a recommendation. There were 7 of us and none were disappointed. The food and service were excellent and the bill pleasantly modest. It was easier that one of the group spoke passable French but I don't think it would have been essential.

A perfect size for an intimate meal. It's exactly how I remember most restaurants in Paris about 35 years ago. Good basic French food. Nothing terribly fancy, nothing terribly adventurous just classic french fare with nothing added. Decor - a bit of everything...... There are...More
