Was disappointed.... Had better food at a near by restaurant.....Service could have been much better; this is to say service was worst than any other parisian place! and this is already too much to say.....

Visit this restaurant every time we are in Paris. Excellent food. Good value (at times). The problem is that it's progressively getting emptier for some reason.

We went late to our reservation and it was my mistake, but the place had only 2 more tables occupied Food was good , nothing special, but service was done by ONE single person including doing drinks at the Bar ! The person was totally unprepared and perhaps overwhelmed with the job But as a client, This is not our... More

I had the A la carte menu. Selected the pasta for entree, the rack of Lamb for mains and a Creme Brulee for desert. The waitresses were polite and attentive and both spoke English. The food was very nice and filling. A nice night out.

Looking at previous reviews, we may have been unlucky and gone on an off night- a Wednesday - or it has seen better days. The environment was calm though there was a black and white movie theme which was not explained (scenes running on a loop, cameras suspended from the ceilings etc.). I wonder whether perhaps the owner was a... More

Bad service and ok food. The waitresses didn't care for our request and got us the wrong food. When she got with the food on the table we advise that was not the plate that we asked and she was not very happy about and made sure that we got it her attitude. Food was ok... No the best at... More

We love the "Rue St Louis en Ile" ' the small street running through the I'll St Louis. This restaurant is on the Main Street and it is a wonderful place to dine. Very reasonable selections and well priced wine list ,by bottle or the glass. Deliciously cooked food and beatufly presented. Menu in French and English .... and both... More

We had had previous good evenings on the Ile Saint Louis on previous visits and were pleased to find this quiet little spot on the center street of the island, well away from the tourist traps at the west end of the island. I had a melon and ham appetizer that had the best-tasting melon I've ever had. Who knew... More

Our 1st time in Paris and stayed in an apartment on Ile Saint Louis. We saw this restaurant on Trip Advisor and also locals with INSIDR recommended it. We were not disappointed in the least. We were met by hostess/waitress named Alice who was very delightful. She spoke English very well (I'm not so good with French) and as we... More

A quiet place with elegant furnishings. Superior service and attention to detail. I had the fish soup which was not what I expected but was very savory. I expected the usual broth with fish chunks, instead I received a wonderful completely blended smooth soup with spices. My entree was a pesto pasta which was as good as I've ever received... More

Staying in Ile de la Cite / Ile Saint-Louis

Neighbourhood Profile
Ile de la Cite / Ile Saint-Louis
Two islands sit in the middle of the Seine at the very heart of Paris. The more majestic one, Ile de la Cité, sparkles with history. This is the birthplace of Paris, the home of the Gothic Sainte-Chapelle, and the site of the prison where Marie Antoinette was held before her execution. Tourists flock to see the iconic Notre Dame and the beautiful bridges that straddle the Seine. Ile Saint-Louis, the more provincial island, welcomes you with cozy traditional eateries, small boutiques, and what some people say is the best ice cream in the city. This is essential Paris from its very beginnings to its modern appeal.
